While offering more unlikely services next to their podiatry clinic, Cure Spa has provided clients with effective procedures supported by their top of the line technologies and processes.

The team has a combined 20 years of clinical experience providing aesthetic and medical treatments focusing on both foot and nail care.

They are also affiliated with The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists of Ireland, assuring anyone who walks through their doors of their qualified background.

In terms of their podiatry services, they offer nine main categories of distinction from bunion treatment to diabetic foot care. We especially like that their custom orthotics service is quicker and more efficient in producing the cast for the client.

In their Goatstown branch specifically, they do not outsource the manufacturing of these orthotics thereby reducing the average time they are able to produce it to one hour. Clients looking for speedier podiatry services might want to check them out.

We also like that they have a variety of techniques to treat verrucae. They offer laser treatments, application of acids and surgery.

What is also impressive about Cure Spa is that they have more unique additional services that not many podiatry clinics offer. They provide a therapeutic laser treatment for cases of fibromyalgia and they also have a nail salon for those looking for more aesthetic options.

It is important to take note that these some nail salon options are focused also on skincare and hydrating so their prices can be a bit more costly than your average manicure

Pros

  • On-site production of custom orthotics
  • Up to date technology and techniques used
  • Great advice and service from medical nail technicians
  • Have more unique additional services outside of podiatry

Cons

  • Podiatry services are closed on weekends
  • More expensive manicure options

Effective Surgery

I had the PERMANENT NAIL SURGERY done on my toe here about 7 months ago. Before I came here, I was in constant pain, I could not play football for a year. Sometimes I could not even run as it was so painful. It was pretty miserable not to be able to do what I enjoy. About 6-8 weeks after the surgery (which was quick and pain free- he gives you an injection to numb your toe), I was able to get back playing. Now I am playing football 5 times a week, completely pain free, the nail seems strong and no sign of getting ingrown again. This is the best money I ever spent. -Connor Sullivan

Really Impressed with the Results

I discovered cure spa last year and have returned several times for medical pedicures which have been excellent. Dr Niall suggested I try laser treatment for lingering foot pain and I have been really impressed with the results- about 50-60% reduction in inflammation after just one treatment which really exceeded expectations. Would highly recommend a visit if suffering with foot problems and look to try the laser treatment for inflammation and pain. -Bebhinn Behan

With a fantastic consultation service, South Dublin Podiatry is fully equipped to provide diagnosis and treatment for those seeking help with foot and and lower limb conditions.

Clients can be assured that they get the full menu of services from trusted medical professionals who specialise in feet. We appreciate that South Dublin provides free consultation before booking more complex treatments.

This ensures that the client is briefed beforehand on their procedures and that the clinic has the means to treat their specific condition. On the topic of contacting the clinic, we also like that they have adequate channels for contacting, including through their online site, number and email.

Some of the conditions and issues they focus on include corns, calluses, verruca, flat feet, foot pain, plantar fasciitis, achilles tendonitis and fungal nails.

Foot pain is a common issue that clients are dismissive of but in the face of this, the clinic ensures that their process is thorough and exhaustive.

After their examination, they can construct for you the proper orthotics using the IScan 3D which produces high quality precision down to its measurements.
We also like that they prescribe a rehabilitation program afterwards to make sure that the client’s treatment/recovery continues outside of the clinic.

It is important to take note that the clinic has a 24 hour cancellation policy, so make sure that the schedule agreed upon is made certain of.

Pros

  • Provide free consultation with podiatry team beforehand with regards to complex foot pain issues, ingrown toenails or verruca only
  • Attend to a wide variety of foot and ankle problems
  • Have supportive technology like the IScan 3D and also Microwave Verruca Therapy
  • Provide money back guarantee of satisfaction *terms and conditions apply

Merrion Foot Clinic has an exemplary background of doctors and administrative staff. With a team of five podiatrists, they are headed by Joe Egan, who is MChSI registered, worked in musculoskeletal podiatry, has vast experience in clinics around Dublin, Wicklow, and Galway.

Their other team of podiatrists have experiences with lower limb biomechanics, diabetic foot care, gait analysis, and wound care to name a few.

We also like that Merrion accepts insurance for leading providers like The Hospital Saturday Fund, St. Pauls Garda Medical Aid Society, laya healthcare, Vhi healthcare and more. This is great for those looking for discounts, as Merrion can welcome a large number of people who have different providers.

In terms of their available services, we find their range to be accommodating and vast, from diagnosis to treatment and even feet related products.

Their routine podiatry chiropody can address, corns, ulcers, plantar warts, cracked heels and even athletes’ feet.

On the other hand, Merrion is also a good option for athletes who live more active lifestyles and as a result face many more risks for bodily pains. This includes dealing with ankle pains, shin splits, lower back pain, and knee pain.

However, we do wish that their online shop feature was more updated as it would be a helpful outlet for customers to buy products like slippers or foot creams.

Pros

  • Excellent background of podiatry team
  • Accept insurance from leading providers
  • Offer a good amount of treatments
  • Great clinic for athletes

Cons

  • Closed on weekends
  • Online shop is not updated

Walked Away with No Pain or Discomfort

I attended Joe with a few problems I had with my feet. He was very professional and examined my walk and feet. He reassured me that he would remove the corns and hard skin. He also treated an ingrown toenail which was painful. I walked away from his surgery without pain and discomfort. -Bernadette

Staff are Friendly, Caring and Professional

I have attended Merrion Foot Clinic for about five years now as a result of hereditary bad feet! After my last podiatrist retired it took me about 2 years to finally find this excellent clinic. I highly recommend this Foot Clinic. The staff are friendly,  caring, super professional. Angela at reception does an amazing job  and Joe has successfully and very professionally kept my feet in tip top condition in spite of the challenges they pose . Thank you Joe. -Clodagh Bourke

Foot Focus has two clinics available, one in Finglas and the other at Mount Merrion. It is a great clinic for those looking for a customer centric experience, as numerous feedback points to their expert care and gentle approach.

They are open from Monday to Friday until 8:00 PM and clients are able to book schedules through their online platform. They also accept health care from insurance providers like Vhi, Laya, Glohealth and Aviva, but if your provider isn’t among these four, you can get in touch with them to see if yours can still be applied.

They do offer orthotics to help to correct movement patterns due to an individual’s feet. It also helps in reducing the stress and strain in different parts of the body.

They do emphasise that their examination for this is quite thorough and that a lot of patients don’t even need orthotics in the first place. We like that they’re very concise and efficient in this sense.

Their other services address plantar fasciitis, bunion pain and heel pain. Their treatment for plantar fasciitis in particular is quite exhaustive with a hands-on assessment alongside a quality recovery program and a custom 3D orthotic if needed.

We do recognize however, that compared to other clinics the conditions they treat are much more limited so it would be best to call ahead if their services are applicable to your situation.

Pros

  • Two clinic branches available
  • Customer praise for treatment and friendliness
  • Hands-on approaches
  • Accept health care from insurance providers

Cons

  • More limited selection of services
  • Closed on the weekends

Clear and Concise Treatment and Advice

Went to foot focus and was looked after by Elizabeth who was excellent. I have a fungus in my toe nails and the treatment and advice give was clear and concise. Recommended a product to continue the treatment at home so felt I wasn’t been ripped off by repeat visits for treatment. The treatment will be reviewed in 3 months so very happy after my visit. -Brian Byrne

Friendly, Informative, Professional

I attended Foot Focus clinic in Finglas recently for the 1st time with an ingrown toenail. The Podiatrist, Aoife examined my toe and discussed the issue in detail with me, treated the toe and gave me a written treatment plan. The Service I received was friendly, informative & very professional. I would highly recommend Foot Focus Finglas to others. -Gerry Dunne

Waldron Podiatry has over 38 years of experience and they are able treat a wide variety of foot and ankle conditions through their advanced technologies and processes.

It is a family run service headed by Saoirse Waldron who has a B.Sc. in podiatry. He sought out further development in areas like children’s foot care, wound management, soft tissue mobilisation, to name a few.

Waldron also has two available locations, one in Mink Ballsbridge and the other at Bath Avenue.

One of their featured technologies is the use of swift microwave therapy. With success rates of 83%, it proves to be an effective and assuring option for clients out there who have veruca and warts.

What’s great about this treatment as well is that it does not need anaesthetics and the application lasts only a few seconds.

Another highlighted service of theirs is the online consultation in which they partnered with Meaghers Pharmacy. This is an excellent partnership as podiatrists from this clinic can diagnose and discuss treatment plans with you.

From there, Meaghers Pharmacy can help provide you with the necessary medications if needed. It’s great because it condenses the process through one channel.

It is important to take note that their swift microwave therapy can vary for different client cases, so it might take longer for some patients thereby requiring more sessions.

Pros

  • Has Swift Microwave Therapy
  • Offer a partnered online consultation
  • Great range of treatments for different conditions
  • Process is thorough and customers highly praise Saoirse’s professionalism

Cons

  • Short operating hours on Saturday
  • Swift microwave therapy may require different durations for different cases

I had a great experience with Saoirse. She was attentive, friendly, and kind. She examined my feet, how I walk, how I stand, balance, etc, and walked me through exercises to improve my overpronation. She also ordered me some insoles. Would 100% recommend her. -Juhie Modi
