Customer Reviews

Here are some reviews from their clients:

“Was looking for an emergency appointment on 28th December and after ringing probably 20 other clinics to try and get an appointment I got through to Luke and he took appointment even though he was closed. Went in with severe back spasms and struggling to breathe. Luke did what he does and relieved the spasms. Had 2 more follow up sessions. One of the things I found really good was that Luke made a video of various stretches and exercises to strengthen and self medicate my back, really worthwhile”

“A patient of Lukes recommended him to me when I had such bad neck pain that I could barely turn my head , after one appointment I was feeling much better, after a few sessions and using the exercises that Luke taught me ,I feel much better and have more mobility than I have had in years, I’d 100% recommend him.”

Alex Daly Osteopathy has great variety in terms of services provided, as they offer osteopathy, laser therapy, general massage, and women’s health services. You can even use a mix of these to give yourself a complete healing experience.

We liked their expertise in treating issues of babies and children, especially asthma, ear infections, and restlessness. Many have also complimented them for being capable of keeping young ones relaxed and comfortable while being treated.

Women’s health issues, especially pain from pregnancy and endometriosis, are addressed here. They are available upon short notice, which is important, especially during the last months of pregnancy.

Their team is composed of experts in osteopathy and naturopathy, with skills in providing paediatric services, needling techniques, and physical therapy. Their primary osteopaths are both women, which may be preferred by pregnant clients.

We found their rates to be quite expensive, with initial consultations at €80 – €100 and one-hour treatments at €75. It also depends upon which osteopath you want to treat you.

Their irregular opening hours can also be a bit confusing to remember even for long-term clients. The good news is that booking services with them is easy, as their representatives guide customers well.

Pros

  • Expertise in paediatric and women’s health services
  • Booking a session is easy
  • Osteopaths have years of experience
  • Great variety in services provided

Cons

The clinic is led by Laurence Hattersley, who has 30 years of experience in osteopathy and craniosacral therapy. He has certifications for paediatric services and is registered under the Osteopathic Council of Ireland and the Irish Association of Craniosacral Therapists.

Hattersley is recommended by many clients because of his holistic approach to healing. Aside from providing osteopathy services, he also orients clients about good health and de-stressing practices.

We liked his method named “Visceral Manipulation,” which is effective for healing chronic pain. It does so by specifically targeting the internal organs, especially those in the abdomen.

His expertise in craniosacral therapy also makes him recommendable for those suffering from emotional issues, such as PTSD, fatigue, and stress. This goes well with the holistic healing that osteopathy aims to achieve.

The clinic also processes medical insurance reimbursements well and is accepted by providers such as Aviva, St. Pauls Garda, and Glohealth.

Sessions can only be booked by phone, which can be inconvenient. The clinic also does not have a social media page, where sending inquiries and booking consultations can be done faster.

Be sure to contact them in advance in case you plan to have a schedule past their operating hours. They are also open to working on weekends.

The clinic is led by Frank and Rose Keheller, a duo that has treated more than 10,000 children over 20 years of operation. Frank is a paediatric osteopath, while Rose is a general nurse and a midwife.

Specifically, Frank specialises in treating sleep issues, constipation, reflux, and plagiocephaly. Given how common these are, his services are high in demand.

Their joined experience helps them address all aspects involved with paediatric issues, from behaviour to infections and stress. They also ensure that parents are given adequate information about their children’s condition.

Cork Children’s Clinic also has a baby changing and feeding room that many parents are fond of. After all, it makes every visit easier and more comfortable for both parent and baby.

In case you need extra services, they also have an audiologist, educational psychologist, speech and language therapist, and a midwife available.

A downside with them is that their services are expensive, with it being €100 for returning patients and €150 for new ones. They offer a discount for siblings, though, which we appreciate.

Customer Reviews

Totally deserving of 5 stars

“Its always disappointing to see a businesses rating lowered by a one star review with no explanation. We found our experience with Frank and all at the clinic to be totally deserving of 5 stars. Frank was patient kind, professional and advised us way beyond what was required or expected from him. Would recommend highly.” – Joy Lehane, Google Reviews

Top notch osteo

“Frank is a top notch osteo. We brought our 8 week old to Frank, as he was a little unsettled since a tricky birth. After 1 session with Frank he slept 12 hours through the night & has continued to do that for the next 3 months. Frank is a fountain of knowledge about all things baby related. He’s one of the soundest fellows you could meet and the cranio techniques he uses are super gentle and subtle. Couldn’t recommend him more.” – Cormac O’Sé, Google Reviews
