We can confidently say that the vocal coaches of Simply Music Lessons are dedicated to providing a strong focus on skill development for each student. They start with a free evaluation, which has been consistently thorough and supportive.
This approach extends to their lessons, where they provide personalised plans for targeted training, since these sessions aren’t a one-size-fits-all. It helps that all skill levels are welcome, which includes everyone starting at age six.
With a focus on modern techniques, they can stick to proven training methods that will ensure effective and sustainable vocal control. Overall, we like the lessons we’ve seen, where students have become more confident in their singing.
It would’ve been perfect if they offered an easy booking system, but it’s no biggie since they’re rather responsive.

Great to deal with
“I am a full time singer which plays around Templebar. I am receiving voice training from Marta Burns and have noticed a great difference in my range. I play between 10 and 15 gigs a week and I am also having far less problems from my voice since starting training with her. I cannot recommend her highly enough and she is great to deal with.”

Nothing but positive experiences
“I have been taking voice lessons at Walton’s New School of Music. I have had nothing but positive experiences when communicating with members of staff regarding my tuition. They are always very friendly, helpful and quick to reply. I thoroughly enjoy my lessons with Sinéad Flynn and she has helped me to enhance my technique and vocal skills tremendously. The option to have in-person or online tuition is great! I would highly recommend both Walton’s New School of Music and my vocal teacher, Sinéad.”

3. Dublin School of Music

Address: 86-88 Terenure Road North
Contact: 01 492 9998
Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 12:30 pm – 9 pm
- Friday: 1 pm – 7:30 pm
- Saturday: 9:30 am – 3:30 pm
One of the most accessible singing lesson spots is Dublin School of Music, which has three locations within the county. It was established in 2003 and has earned awards, including the Music School of the Year 2021 and 2022 from the Irish Enterprise Awards.
Children and adults are welcome here, where personalised lesson plans are created to support vocal ability and develop healthy singing habits. Plus, having a large team of teachers means they have a widely accessible calendar.
We appreciate that each student starts with individual lessons for a more hands-on teaching approach. They’re open to group classes too, but due to accepting only a small number of students, these have limited availability.
For an award-winning music school, we were pleasantly surprised by their affordable rates, starting at €300 for 10 lessons. In addition, you can dip your toes in the 3-lesson taster course for €99 if you’re still on the fence.
Super kind and helpful
“I’ve been taking singing classes here for a few months and my teacher has taught me so much already. My technique has significantly improved and I’m always looking forward to my next lesson. The staff is super kind and helpful and it feels like I’m part of a small family.”
-Valentine Mairet, Google Review
Always a lovely atmosphere
“Was a student here for many years when I was a child and into my teenage years. I look back very fondly on my time here, always a lovely atmosphere greeted by Craig or back in time further perhaps Trevor who was also lovely. All the teachers I ever dealt with were brilliant and very professional. Highly recommend to anybody particularly those with children who may be interested in starting lessons of their preferred instrument.”

4. Leeson Park School of Music

Address: Kensington Hall, Grove Park, Rathmines
Contact: 01 496 7890
Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 2 pm – 9 pm
- Saturday: 9:30 am – 1:30 pm
We trust Leeson Park School of Music because they’re an established institution in Dublin. After all, they’ve been in the industry since 1989, focusing on children’s music education.
While they welcome adult students, they’re mainly available for instrumental lessons, such as piano and flute. They primarily work with kids aged one to 17, with singing classes delivered for every age group.
They’re known for their experiential learning, where each student learns through experience, blending music theory and training. And since they mostly teach kids, they use familiar songs for a more positive experience.
Slots fill up quickly, though, so we highly recommend putting your kid’s name on the waitlist. It’s understandable, really, since they start with one-on-one teaching and groups of two.
They’re worth the money, too, and most parents we spoke with noted the engaging musicianship lessons. The teachers deserve a mention as well, given their experience in keeping kids engaged throughout the class.
Wonderful music school
“Wonderful music school. Experience of group pre instrumental and individual classes – both highly recommended.”
-Louise O’Byrne, Google Review
Gifted teachers who encourage and inspire kids
“My two children have attended Leeson park for at least 7 years. It is a wonderful school with gifted teachers that encourage and inspire kids. My children look forward to their lessons every week and are encouraged to perform regularly. This is a life skill that will stand to them for the rest of their lives.”

5. Sing Factory

Address: 32 Merrion St Upper
Contact: 01 652 0884
Hours:
- Friday – Tuesday: 9 am – 6 pm
- Wednesday – Thursday: 9 am – 7:30 pm
One of our top choices for singing lessons in Dublin is Sing Factory. They’re primarily a for-hire singing company, best suited for parties, but they manage to offer singing lessons with recordings to give students a chance to watch their own sessions.
They’re quite accessible to kids and adults, as they offer online and in-studio singing lessons for individuals and groups. They also accommodate newbies and advanced singers, and they’re open to coaching for all genres.
It’s the environment that mainly captured our attention, since they provide a safe and comfortable space to work on your vocal techniques. Every piece of advice comes with encouragement, which most students we talked with appreciated.
Budget-wise, they’re solid, with a one-time 45-minute singing lesson costing €55. Multi-sessions are available too, and they remain rather affordable.
However, we noticed that availability is limited at times, since there’s no set schedule for singing lessons. They’re rather flexible, anyhow, so we don’t find it a massive issue.
Awesome teacher
“I was looking for somethibg to help me ground and maintain good mental health quality! I had the chance of booking few classes before and after lockdown and felt very safe. It turned out that singing with masks turned into a fun exercise!
Rob is an awesome teacher, tailoring sessions based on your story and capabilities. He is very engaging and commited to making you feel comfortable and confident with success!
I plan to keep on going with my singing classes for this year and I highly recommend classes. #mentalhealthactivities #mindyourmind”
