West Coast Physio is a physiotherapy clinic located in Galway and is a great option for individuals seeking a relief from pain.

What we like most about West Coast Physio is its range of services, including dry needling, myofascial release, massage, rehabilitation programming, and sports injury management.

What’s more, its therapists David Gow and Turlough O’hEeocha can treat many conditions such as tears, pains, strains, and even disc injuries.

In terms of practice, the therapists have over 15 years of combined experience in doing physical therapy. They are also good with rehabilitation with muscular strengthening and relieving structurally damaged tissues.

For athletes affected by injuries, West Coast can help you get back on track with its effective sports injury management program.

Recurrent back pain can also be helped here through its broad low back pain treatment coverage using exercise therapy, self-management techniques, and psychological therapy.

The only downside to this clinic is that it does not offer Pilates therapy to strengthen muscles. Also, it doesn’t have consultant doctors to provide extra support for patients who may need them.

It’s no big deal, though, because its extensive range of services and treatments offered can help you with common and rare conditions that require proper therapy.

Pros

  • Experienced in rehabilitation
  • Can treat many conditions
  • Effective sports injury management
  • Broad low back pain treatment coverage

Cons

  • No pilates therapy
  • No consultant doctors

With clinics in both Dublin and Clare, L.E.A.F Physical Therapy and Sports Injury Clinic is a great place to go if you’re looking for comprehensive sports injury treatment.

The reason we considered L.E.A.F as one of the best is its specialization in treating sports injuries. The staff at L.E.A.F Physical Therapy and Sports Injury Clinic are experts on sports injuries with diagnosis of specific injuries and treatment programs.

In fact, it has worked with major local sports leagues, which means it has the experience working with athletes with varying injuries using specific treatment.

Not only that, but it also offers general physical therapy services for those who are just looking to get back into shape. This clinic can even help you with everything from mobility issues to dry needling.

L.E.A.F also does physical therapy, sports massage, dry needling, mobility and foam rolling classes.

Very knowledgeable

Great Experience, I had knee pain and Mike was able to get to the root cause in the first session and give me relief. He provided me with some strength work and had me back in the gym in 3 weeks. Mike was very knowledgeable, helpful and professional. Would recommend him 100%!” – Ryan Early

Thorough in treatment

Absolutely brilliant experience. Went to Mike with a shoulder problem. He got straight to the root of the issue and three sessions later my shoulder feels great. Rebalance Physiotherapy is a one-stop shop for all your physical therapy needs through its wide variety of services in Dublin.

Among its in-demand services are sports injury rehabilitation, pain management, and high-performance rehabilitation. What sets it apart from other physical therapy clinics is its new services on orthotics, and shockwave therapy.

We’re also impressed by the qualifications of its three senior physiotherapists and one consultant physiotherapist who have their own expertise.

We also like this clinic’s Functional Rehab which is very beneficial for people who are active and want to continue doing the activities they love without experiencing any pain or discomfort.

Another helpful program here is the Vestibular rehab that treats a variety of conditions including rare ones like cerebellar dysfunction, labyrinthitis, neuritis, and migraines.

Also, it offers custom-made orthotics that can be used by patients at home after their physical therapy sessions have ended. This helps to ensure that the patient has the correct support as they go on with their rehabilitation.

However, Rebalance Physiotherapy has one location only which may be a con for some people as they might prefer having the treatments close to them, in this case, outside Dublin.

We also advise those planning to have their back and neck pains looked at here to double check the rates as the therapists have varying rates. It’s just a slight difference, so there’s no need to worry about the bills.

Pros

  • Extensive services range
  • Customizes orthotics
  • Multi-benefit functional rehab
  • Four experienced therapists

Cons

  • Therapists have different rates
  • Has one location only

I went in with a small exercise-related injury and after three sessions I am quite happy with the progress. Nice facilities, super friendly staff, personalised treatment. Overall great experience, would highly recommend.” – Pablo J.

I have had a few great appointments at the clinic using Shockwave. Daniel has been very reassuring which is great and he really knows what he is doing. I have had a long-running injury but believe I’m now on the road to recovery!” – Rosemary Hickey

South Dublin Physical Therapy is located in Kimmage, Dublin, and has comprehensive programs on physical therapy, massage, and several supportive sports services.

Our favorite service here is the Personal Training that allows you to build muscles and have a better body figure that’s healthy and maintained. It’s not about basic relaxation and rehabilitation, but a way of building a person’s confidence.

We also appreciate it for having home visitations to cater to patients who cannot easily travel to its clinic in Dublin for therapy. Thus guarantees convenience, privacy, and comfort especially for injured patients.

In addition, South Dublin Physical Therapy has supportive sports services like support taping and sports massage to further condition a person’s body before working out or getting into a sport.

Another positive fact about it is it offers room rentals for those who need extra space to accommodate their therapy sessions. If you’re into posture and core development, it has you covered with its Clinical Pilates.

We also love how hands-on therapists Brian and Bernard are. There’s no doubt about this because they are both dedicated therapists and members of the Irish Association of Physical Therapists.

South Dublin Physical Therapy is closed on weekends—but if you need them during those times they will be happy to accommodate you. It’s important to note that they don’t offer shockwave therapy.

Pros

  • Does home visits
  • Supportive taping method
  • Has personal training
  • Hands-on therapists

Archview physiotherapy is a great place to get your treatment and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I went here for my neck pain treatment and it was very effective.

We like that it’s open every day, so you can go whenever you want whether you’re an early bird or a night owl like me! It has many services including physiotherapy, dry needling, clinical pilates, stretching exercises, kinesio-taping massage, and orthotics.

Its notable service is the neck pain treatment which has been very beneficial to me as well as many other patients that I have spoken with about their experience there. It also has other treatments that treat many different conditions.

We love its transparency as the prices are also very transparent and reasonable. They charge €60 for an initial consultation which includes a full assessment of your condition with X-rays if necessary.

Manpower-wise, it has an excellent team of physiotherapists who will be able to help you with any condition you might have. Their specialties include pain management, sports injuries, osteoarthritis, headaches, among others.

The clinic itself is located in Ranelagh and Dundrum, so it’s easy to get to from anywhere in Dublin. You just have to book an appointment to secure your slot.

Pros

  • Covers many conditions
  • Transparent in pricing
  • Open everyday
  • Helpful neck pain treatment

Cons

  • By appointment only
