Total Care Physio offers an abundance of physiotherapy services through the use of modern medicine and the latest technology to people of all ages, mobility levels, and lifestyles.

Whether it be an injury from a football game or a curved spine, their physiotherapist can give you a treatment plan that best fits your needs and capabilities.

According to our sources, their physiotherapists provide doable strengthening and mobility exercises that you can easily do at home and that fit your lifestyle.

You can easily set an appointment through their website. You’ll be given the convenience of choosing the date and the attending physiotherapist.

In case you can’t visit them at their clinic, they also offer face-to-face video treatment sessions. At the comforts of your home, their physiotherapist can give you a personalized treatment plan all through video call.

One of the drawbacks we noticed was their team is quite small. With only two physiotherapists, setting an appointment may be difficult if the clinic is fully booked.

However, they also operate long hours which give you the chance to book late night appointments if that’s what works best with your schedule.

Another great thing about their clinic is that their services are covered by health insurers such as VHI Healthcare, Laya Healthcare, Irish Life Health, and AVIVA.

Overall, Total Care Physio physiotherapists give you individualized treatments and the convenience of late night appointments or home video sessions.

Pain Relief Limerick offers physical therapy services to relieve your back, neck, knee, shoulder, and ankle pain by their physiotherapists.

From diagnosis to treatment, they offer natural and medication-free solutions to address the source of your pain and increase your mobility.

A variety of their treatments include massages, acupuncture, muscle energy technique, postural taping, and more.

You can easily make an appointment through their online booking system on their website where you can also choose the attending physiotherapist.

In case you’re unsure of how to navigate their website, you can chat with one of their clinicians via Whatsapp for faster and more convenient communication.

If you’re still doubtful about setting an appointment, you can avail of their Free Discovery Session. This is a 10 to 15-minute initial consultation where you can discuss your situation with their physiotherapist to get a better understanding of how they can help you.

This free initial consultation is a great way to see if physiotherapy is the right method of treatment for you and at no cost at all!

Their clinic operates long hours which is great if your schedule is more flexible in the evenings. However, their varying operating hours may be confusing for some.

Aside from visiting their clinic, they can help you learn how to fix your problems at home via video consultation.

You can have your physiotherapy session at the comfort of your home. At the end of your session, they’ll also equip you with tips and exercises that you can practice to prevent your pains from coming back.

You can also hire them for sporting events to give sports massages to athletes. This is a great way to keep them flexible and feeling their best while in a match or as a simple treat.

Another good thing about Pain Relief is their physical therapy sessions are covered by the majority of health insurers such as Garda Insurance Scheme. The rate of your reimbursement will depend on your plan so it’d be best to check with your insurance provider.

You can also claim 20% tax relief on your medical bills because treatment costs are tax deductible.

However, we were disappointed to see their limited selection of physiotherapy services. This can be an inconvenience if their initial consultation results say you need a treatment they cannot provide.

Customer Reviews

After the first session, I was much better

“I attended the clinic with severe lower  back pain. I was seen by Alex and after an initial consultation he was able to pin point the cause of the pain. After the first session i was much better, he gave me exercises and stretches to do at home and after a couple more sessions i am back to normal. Alex also sent all the exercises via email which was very useful. He is very knowledgeable and I would have no hesitation in recommending the Pain Relief clinic.” – Ryan Lee, Google Reviews

Gradually worked out stretches and exercises to alleviate pain

“I would thank Eimear for helping with my severe back pain, I had 3 sessions with her where she thoroughly listed to my story and gradually worked out stretches and exercises to alleviate pain. After first session I was able to have full night’s sleep which helped me return back to work, during next 2 sessions additional exercises I was given helped alleviate dull pain which allowed me to function properly again. Exercises given to you are easily accessible through website with instructional videos that you can rewatch if you need to. Eimear is excellent listener that will make you feel comfortable and not rushed, but at the same time she will try to help yo with as little sessions as possible. Highly recommended.” – Karol Furtak, Google Reviews

Easy to talk to and makes things very understandable and puts you at ease

“Visited Paudie after having some knee trouble during my workouts, knee was very stiff and hurting during movement. The first thing Paudie did was talk through the injury in an easy to understand way, he explained what may be causing it and assured me it was preventable and could be worked on. After a full assessment he gave me some simple exercises to work on improve the knee, with a realistic workload and timeline. I have several visits over the weeks check in on progress and he was able to accommodate me on short notice after a setback. Very professional setup, and more importantly, Paudie himself is easy to talk to and makes things very understandable and puts you at ease.” – Shane Keena, Google Reviews

Dara Mahon Physical Therapy provides personalized exercise and treatment programs focusing on prevention and rehabilitation for people of all ages and lifestyles.

Their physiotherapists use a variety of massage and stretching techniques to alleviate tension and pain.

An appointment can easily be made through their website or by calling their clinic.

Unfortunately, they only offer on-site services. This can be an inconvenience if you can’t schedule an appointment at their clinic or if you’d prefer to have the treatment done at home.

A unique service that Dara Mahon Physical Therapy offers is the Falls Prevention for the Older Adult. With the guidance of a Postural Stability Instructor, they help frail and older people work on their strength, balance, and stability to prevent falls.

Their services are recognized by major health insurances such as AVIVA, MPF, Laya Healthcare, Irish Life, GloHealth, St. Paul’s Garda’s Medical Aid Society, VHA, and HSF.

We were quite disappointed to see that they have relatively short working hours. They’re only open until 5pm at the latest and closed on weekends.

On top of that, they only have one physiotherapist. These can make it difficult to schedule an appointment especially if the clinic is fully booked.

Nonetheless, customer testimonials have praised the comprehensive sessions and effective results that have brought them great relief.

Pros

  • Covered by major insurance companies
  • Has online booking

Customer Reviews

Knowledgeable, friendly and an excellent physical therapist

“I attended Dara due to very painful trapped nerves in my back. I hadn’t slept properly in days. I was nervous getting any treatment because I was in so much pain. She instantly put me at ease and talked me through what she would do to fix my problem. Between deep tissue massage and dry needling she had me sorted after one session. I slept like a baby for the first times in ages. I couldn’t recommend Dara enough, knowledgable, friendly and an excellent physical therapist.” – Polly K, Google Reviews

She really takes the time to get to the root of the problem

“I’ve been to a fair few physios over the years with persistant pains but Dara is the most effective one I’ve been treated by. She really takes the time to get to the root of the problem and is good enough to talk you through it all while getting top class treatment. Wouldn’t be going anywhere else, highly recommend.” – Pierre, P., Google Reviews

I got great relief after Dara worked her magic

“I found Dara very knowledgeable, she takes the time to listen and then decides on the best course of treatment. Dara worked on my legs, as i’m a runner my muscles needed to be worked on, with dry needling and deep tissue rubs I got great relief after Dara worked her magic.” – Cathy Halley, Google Reviews

Veritas Physio is a pediatric physiotherapy clinic that offers comfortable and effective physiotherapy to children ages below 1 to 18 by their principal physiotherapist.

Even though they specialize in pediatric physiotherapy, Veritas Physio also caters to adults.

One of the things we like about their pediatric physiotherapy is that it’s flexible so each session varies in treatments, length, and frequency. This all depends on the comfort and mood of the patient.

Since all their treatments are done in a fun and enjoyable way, Veritas Physio is great for children that may have difficulty getting treated in a more traditional clinic environment.

Aside from children, Veritas Physio also caters to people with disabilities through their services and features of their clinic.

They offer a wide variety of physiotherapy treatments focused on neurological defects, congenital defects, and developmental delays. They also provide therapy focused on Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Disorder, and posture defects.

Meanwhile, their adult physiotherapy sessions cater to post-surgery treatments, various pains, golfer elbow, and even runners knee.

Unfortunately, their website does not support online booking so you’ll have to contact them through their phone number or email to schedule an appointment.

They also don’t offer virtual consultations and sessions. This can be inconvenient if you can’t be at their clinic or if you’d prefer to have your physiotherapy done at home.

One of the things we liked was that their clinic offers free parking and has a large walking area for breaks in between sessions. Their area is PWD-accessible with spacious halls and an elevator.

They are also covered by major health insurances, namely: Laya Healthcare, VHI, and Aviva.

On top of being closed on Tuesdays and Sundays, another inconvenience we spotted was their short operating hours. This can make it tricky to schedule late-night appointments.

All in all, we think Veritas Physio is great for people with disabilities and children seeking physiotherapy in an inclusive and accessible clinic.

Pros

  • Covered by major insurance companies
  • Specializes in pediatric physiotherapy
  • Offers physiotherapy for neurological and developmental conditions
  • Free parking
  • PWD accessible
  • All ages welcome
