Handsome Burger’s monthly specials are one of our favourite aspects of the experience since they invite anticipation. What if the burger that you’ve been looking for all this time is their monthly special?
Perfect for burger lovers, this restaurant offers various burger choices: they have beef, chicken, and vegan burgers. However, only four types of fries and the regular chicken tenders are available as side dishes, which may disappoint the adventurous eater.

Scotty’s Famous Burgers and Wings is a family-owned restaurant that has been operating since 1991. The long-established diner is known for their American-style flavours.
Interestingly, this retaurant is famous for another good reason: they have over 60 burger varieties! We think this is an incredible treat for burger lovers.
We would recommend browsing their menu prior to going to the restaurant, else you find yourself paralysed by indecision.
With mind-blowing number of beef and chicken burger choices, we appreciate that Scotty’s Famous Burgers and Wings didn’t forget to add a veggie option for non-meat eaters.
You can also enjoy veggie chips and nachos among their abundant selection of appetisers and sides. Of course, their chicken wings served with their original barbeque sauce are a must-try as well.
We like that Scotty’s Famous Burgers and Wings offers daily specials. A different burger and dessert every day is truly something to look forward to.
Most of their burgers, particularly their signature varieties, are served with chips or a small garden salad, which is a good deal albeit quite pricey. Nonetheless, they have generous servings and a friendly staff eager to be of service.
It’s just a tad disappointing that Scotty’s Famous Burgers and Wings is open only on Fridays and weekends. They have short opening hours, too.
The restaurant is quite small and there isn’t much parking space. At any rate, you’ll be pleased to know that they have takeaway and delivery services.

If you’re in Galway’s West End and a fan of burgers and beer, BóTOWN is the place to be. The restaurant was a “labour of love”, to quote the two founders who are long-time best friends.
BóTOWN is located in a protected structure in the city and it took two years for the owners to complete the renovations. In 2018, BóTOWN premiered to widespread praise.
We were excited to discover that they have 10 types of burgers that come in big portions and with a side of chips. You can choose from beef, chicken, veggie, or vegan burgers.
We like that there is also a decent selection of sides available at BóTOWN, some of which are vegetarian-friendly. In addition, from noon until 3:00 PM, they offer a special “Bubbles & Brunch” menu.
What’s more, you’d definitely enjoy your meal in the restaurant’s rustic and classy aesthetic. The red-brick fireplace, authentic stone arches, timber-clad walls, and antique Victorian sash windows make for a great Instagram snap.
We reckon your wallet would also have a good time because of their budget-friendly menu items.
While they have lovely staff, the waiting time for orders is a bit of a let-down. We’ve heard that at times, the food is not longer hot when they arrive at the customer’s table.
The good thing is that they have many chances to get this right because BóTOWN is open seven days a week! To boot, they provide takeaway and delivery services.
