Wowburger opened their very first site over 5 years ago and since then, have grown their customer base. With numerous locations and available delivery services, many can now try out their concise yet delicious menu items.

What stood out for us initially, was their very small menu. Although it only contains a few items compared to the average burger restaurant, we like that the variety they offer caters to different wants.

Aside from their Wow Hamburger, they have vegan and veggie burger options for only € 7.95 each. It’s a rare affordable option to find at more convenient burger restaurants.

They also have mini versions of their hamburger, cheeseburger and bacon hamburger, which are great options if you’re looking for smaller portions. Other items on their menu pair very well with their signature burger including shakes, sundaes, fries and onion rings.

We like that you can deliver their items through a variety of application choices such as Just Eat, Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Customers can opt to order ahead through their website making the pick up process more efficient.

However, it would be best to check their website for their delivery partners as these can vary per branch chosen. For example, their Wicklow Street branch does not have any available delivery partners but other branches in the area have all three.

Pros

  • Have mini burgers, vegan and veggie options
  • Good range of other menu items pairing well with their signature burger
  • Toppings are customizable and free
  • Offer delivery through different apps

Cons

  • Smaller and simpler menu
  • Delivery partners are different per branch

BuJo is a restaurant that cultivates a warm and homey experience when visiting any of their branches.

We were most impressed by the unique offerings and menu sections. Their signature burger features a double patty of grass fed irish beef topped with their own burger sauce.

However, we like that they give you the choice for a single patty if you’re looking for a lighter meal. We also appreciate that they have substantial vegan and veggie burger options too.

Their menu features a limited edition section where they currently offer a Wicklow Ban Burger. This gives customers a new, exciting and evolving range of food to choose from.

Additional items include a wide assortment of chicken meals such as strips and sandwiches alongside sides and drinks that include bacon cheese fries, panko pickles, and handspun shakes.

It really is a balanced yet substantial array.

While you can order in-store, we find that their online ordering and order ahead service to be very efficient. They accept American Express, Mastercard, Maestro and Visa as modes of payment.

However, for indoor dining, they do not have booking and are dependent on walk-in availability. Also some of their menu items can differ between brunch and dinner so make sure to call or check their website in advance.

Pros

  • Have vegan and veggie burger options
  • Additional items include fries, shakes, panko pickles, kiddo boxes etc.
  • 3 star rating from Sustainable Restaurant Association
  • Efficient online ordering service

Cons

  • Menus can differ between brunch and dinner
  • No booking

Great Burger and Milkshake Combo

Amazing burgers! I have not really had good burgers in Dublin, but that all changed when I tried BuJo! It’s a perfect burger and milkshake spot right in front of a lovely little park. They also provide Beyond the Meat Burgers (both vegetarian and vegan for those who don’t eat beef). I can’t wait to head back from my walks to the Sandymount Beach! – Raya Husami

Perfect Flavor Combination

Amazing burger! Very juicy meat and perfect flavor combination. The panko onion rings where literally incredible! Highly recommended!! – Carolina Fernandez

Featherblade provides a high quality culinary experience with their flavorful burger choices and sleek atmosphere.

Founded in 2014, they primarily focus on grass fed Irish steak but do include other menu options for their customers. They have two types of burgers alongside a steak sandwich option.

These burger choices are on the more smokey side of flavor but are still delicious. The bacon cheeseburger has sweet bacon, pickled red onion and garlic mayo while the chipotle cheeseburger has smoked cheese, pickled chilis and chipotle mayos.

If you’re looking for more unique and flavorful burgers, featherblade does not disappoint.

We also like the other options they have on their menu. Their sides and desserts for example are very indulgent with choices like truffle mac and cheese, roast sweet potato wedges and burnt Basque cheesecake.

Many have praised their steaks for their taste, cut and texture. These go great with their range of wines which include white, red and rose.

They do offer a “book-ahead” option for indoor dining as well but it is important to take note that bookings after 4:30 PM are for adults only. Additionally, you aren’t able to place any deliveries from this restaurant so they are limited to dine-in experiences.

Pros

  • Flavorful and unique burger options
  • Additional menu items include steak and wines
  • Sleek atmosphere

Cons

  • Limited burger options; Steak sandwich is available only during lunch
  • No delivery

With their condensed menu offering burgers, fries and drinks, Bunsen’s delivers efficient yet equally tasty meals. Owned by a pair of cousins, Bunsen began in 2013 and has since expanded to more branches around Dublin, Cork and Belfast.

Their menu is a simple one which consists of burgers, fries and drinks. For their burger options, they include both standard and double burger options alongside toppings like pickle, onion, lettuce, tomato, ketchup and mustard.

We like that this menu is more concise in its options, not overwhelming the customer.

Alongside these burgers, they have different types of fries as well as affordable drinks, a soda and a milkshake. Many customers have expressed how they like the simple menu, as the items are still delicious.

Bunsen’s offers both in-store pick up as well as online delivery. We think this is very convenient especially since they have seven branches in Dublin customers can choose to pick up from.

For larger groups, they allow bookings in their bigger restaurants which is great for customers planning a large gathering, perfect for friends and families.

The store can tend to get busy during certain days so it is important to weigh the pros and cons of delivering or using the in-store pick up option.

Pros

  • Offer student deals
  • Customer feedback complements the concise menu
  • Have seven branches in Dublin
  • They offer both in-store pick up and delivery

Cons

  • Can be crowded during certain periods
  • No vegetarian burger options

Excellent Menu Size, Food and Service

The Muhammad Ali of burgers!

I think it’s the greatest but there will always be others who will bicker that another may edge it…. It’s a debate that is deserved cause this is at the top and if not depending on personal preference…. We’ll trust me it’s up there. Menu size and the food and service is excellent.  -Loyes Diamonds

Cooked to Your Liking

This place does burgers right, cooked to your liking and simple selection of toppings to let the quality taste of their juicy patty shine! This is my go to place for a great burger. – Anthony Javate

BóBós Gourmet Burgers offers creatively themed products that will excite any foodie out there in the Dublin area. Even as one of the newer establishments out there, they have solidified their focus to producing quality burgers in a uniquely themed atmosphere.

We do like that the look of their large burger stacks complement the wood and green tiles of their stores. It makes the experience more memorable to eat at one of their locations.

As mentioned before, the burgers they offer are creatively themed. For example, The Hawaiian features a grilled pineapple with cured smoked bacon and caramelized onions.

There are 19 beef burger options to choose from on the menu at the Abbey Street branch so customers looking for a wide exploration of flavors will certainly enjoy their selection. We also like that they offer more standard options like The Plain Jane and Cheese Burger for those with simpler preferences.

Other items on the menu include chicken, pork, lamb, veggie and vegan burgers. These are alongside choices for salads, sides, desserts, drinks and a kids menu.

We were very impressed with the range they offered and it can be the perfect place to satisfy any medium sized group of people with different food preferences.

We do advise however to check ahead for the operating times as they differ vastly between branches.

Pros

  • Creatively themed burgers
  • Great ambiance and atmosphere
  • Wide variety of burger meats to choose from
  • Have vegan and veggie burger options

Cons

  • Different operating times for different branches
  • Abbey street branch is limited on delivery

Served Quickly

We stopped here for a quick late lunch. We sat outside and were served quickly. Their impossible meat burger is very good. The sauce was different and sweet. The bun was just done right. Coffee was good as well. Nice tiny place but big menu and very good burgers – Moiz Khan

Have a Gluten Free Bun Option

The burgers here are delicious and gluten free if you order a GF bun. It’s such a treat to have the GF option! So far, I’ve tried the bacon and cheese burger and the Swiss burger, both fantastic. I will be back to sample more of the menu. Bf tried the onion rings which he said were excellent. Nice service, lovely restaurant with good bathrooms. Recommended!!! – Audrey Mealiff
