2. Rift Coffee

FOOD | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
SERVICE | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
AMBIENCE | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
VALUE | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
An incredible place with welcoming staff for breakfast in Limerick is Rift Coffee.
Their pastries such as the Lemon and Poppyseed cake and chocolate brownie are just heavenly. The coffee here is top-notch too!
It’s also good to know that they’re a multi-roaster café. This means they work with more than one roaster at any one time and change their coffees often for variety.
Aside from their nice selection of unique and handmade desserts, it was amazing that they offer a lovely shop full of Irish products as well.
Just keep in mind that some items on their menu contain nuts. To be safe, it’s best to ask their servers about any allergen enquiries you may have.
Additionally, we appreciate having pleasant background music while we eat. This helps put a smile on our faces as we enjoyed our food.
This cafe is dog-friendly too! However, they said some people may be frightened by dogs so customers, themselves, have to come to a compromise when needed.
And if you’re coming back at a different time, you might also be a fan of their wine bar. They have an interesting selection which really goes well with their delectable food.
Overall, most items are well-priced in a homey setting. Make sure to stop by Rift Coffee for a delightful feast!

SERVICE | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
AMBIENCE | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
VALUE | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
If you enjoy generous portions for your breakfast in Limerick, then Story Café is the one for you!
A lot of customers probably already know this place. This is because the location was quickly filled with visitors just a little past 8 am!
Despite this, it was commendable that their service was fast and efficient.
Every plate we saw around us seemed to have amazing food in great quantity too. Their hot chocolate, scrambled eggs, savoury crepes, and club sandwiches are also reasonably priced.
There were some vegetarians around us and their poached eggs looked so nice and cooked to perfection as well.
Just keep in mind that it can get a little loud in here due to the volume of customers coming in.
Nevertheless, we had fun because the chef who talked to us was playful, enthusiastic, and humorous – a cute add-on to our dining experience!
Their staff also went out of their way to make us feel the most welcome. Because of them, their cafe was filled with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
A drawback we could mention, though, would be their cleanliness. Having lots of customers could make this challenging, but we feel this should still be among their priorities.
But all together, we highly recommend the Story Café for a remarkable experience for breakfast in Limerick. You should check them out sometime!
