Top Banquet Halls in Limerick
We’re about to review the best banquet halls in Limerick using the following criteria:
1. Absolute Hotel Limerick
Banquet hall | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Accessibility | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Packages | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Customer satisfaction | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Absolute Hotel Limerick might not have your usual large banquet halls, but when it comes to organisation and service, it’s one of those leading the race. It’s a beautiful venue with amazing customer service—you can’t go wrong with this!
For one, it’s a modern hotel with upgraded facilities so everything is convenient. The staff are friendly and professional as well and are always available if you have needs or requests.
Second, the location is superb! We love that it’s accessible to a lot of tourist spots in the area, so you can access them within walking distance just in case you want to stroll around the area after the event.
Third, there’s free parking, however, it’s on a first-come, first-served basis. But even if the parking is full when you arrive, there’s pay parking across the hotel so it still won’t be a problem.
The function halls are amazing! We love that everything is fully equipped with audio-visual equipment—you just need to decorate or arrange the tables and chairs based on the occasion.
We think you’ll love that the hotel also has varied packages for your banquet needs. You can choose from BBQ, buffet, or sit-down meals.
The only thing we think can be a restriction for you is that the function halls aren’t for overly large gatherings. They’re smaller than other banquet halls and can only accommodate a moderately sized crowd.
Pros
- Modern hotel
- Prime location
- Within walking distance of other tourist attractions
- Polite and professional staff
- Organised set-up
- Great food
- Great view of the Abbey River

Organised set-up
Had two business meetings there today. NO fuss in the organization of them. When we got there we were assigned a room manager who was on hand for anything we needed – we needed nothing. Everything was set up exactly as requested and promised. Really reasonably priced. Excellent service, staff, coffee/tea and handmade cookies that went down a treat. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Super venue for meetings. I have not been there for any other events but if today was anything to go by I’d have no hesitation in booking other events in future.—Geraldine Clancy, Google Reviews
Perfect for conferences
Has a decent salon here for ladies and the rooms are modern. Also, conference rooms are perfect for all sorts of meetings.— Barry O’Sullivan, Google Reviews
2. Thomond Park Events & Conferencing Facility
Banquet hall | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Accessibility | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Packages | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
Customer satisfaction | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
If you have a large gathering, we recommend booking Thomond Park Events & Conferencing Facility. It might be a stadium where huge rugby matches are held, but it has five event suites that can be tailored to fit your occasions.
In fact, we were able to talk to some of those people who attended several events in Thomond Park, and they told us that the place had different venues for various crowd sizes, and that made things convenient for them.
There’s even the Thomond Suite which has a panoramic view of the stadium and the pitch. The walls are made of glass so if your conference or event is during the day, you’ll have a nice backdrop.
The food the venue serves is great as well! All five halls have state-of-the-art audio-visual systems so you don’t have to worry about that as well.
We also appreciate that the team in charge of events is easy to talk to! They’re very patient and very accommodating—you can ask for assistance about everything, and they’ll do their best to help you with it.
One of the things we’re a little disappointed about is that the venue is always fully booked. It’s difficult to find an available slot, especially during peak rugby months.
Another thing is that it takes them a while to respond to inquiries—whether by phone or by email. Sometimes the calls go unanswered and the emails aren’t immediately replied to, which delays some logistic decisions on your part.
Pros
- Can accommodate a large number of people
- Has five event suites
- Has a panoramic view of the stadium
- Has inbuilt state-of-the-art audio-visual systems
- Very organised team
- Good food and drinks
Cons
- Always fully booked
- Late response to inquiries

3. Adare Manor
Banquet hall | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Accessibility | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Packages | ★★★★★ (5/5) |
Customer satisfaction | ★★★★☆ (4/5) |
What we love about Adare Manor is that it has several event halls for various people sizes and purposes. Each hall is personalised specifically for meetings, conferences, personal events, and even cinema viewing, which is very convenient for guests!
For one, they have the Board Room and the Library for business meetings and conferences, which can accommodate 20 to 30 people. The rooms are well-lit and equipped with everything you need for business meetings.
There’s the Cinema for film viewing. We love that it’s also set up in a way that makes you feel as if you’re watching inside a theatre.
And then there’s the Grand Ballroom for huge banquet functions! We love the innate elegance of this 4,800-square-foot ballroom, and it even has a sweeping staircase and natural light coming in from the outside.
The Grand Ballroom has a view of the manor grounds, which is majestic in itself. Adare Manor functions as a hotel, so the view is not only amazing for the guests who book rooms but also for event goers.
The food served is great as well. You can choose from a variety of cuisines made from their in-house restaurant.
The team in charge of the events is always ready to help, which is a really good thing. During the function itself, they’re everywhere just to make sure things go smoothly.
Adare Manor isn’t for small-budget events though, so expect the price to be higher than some event places. However, everything—from service to venue to food—are worth the little splurge if you ask us.

Stunning hotel. Special occasion hotel. Excellent staff, knowledgable, friendly, and attentive but not fussing – balance just perfect. The tasting menu in the Oak Room is a worthwhile experience. Food in the Carriage House and lounge area is excellent also. The pool area is calm and relaxing. The cinema room is lovely too. Will definitely return.—Noel Angela, Trip Advisor
