Dublin School of Music, founded in 2003, is a highly regarded and well-established music school that offers a wide variety of musical courses to suit all ages, interests, and abilities.

We like the offered singing lessons that are inclusive to individuals, groups, and children. It doesn’t end there, the students are aimed to become confident and well-rounded singers through the Individual Singing Lessons.

Also, offer intensive courses for beginners who want to pick up some basic skills quickly or those who are just starting out on their musical journey. There’s also ongoing courses if you’d like to continue improving your skills over a longer period of time.

What’s more, it offers continuous enrollment for those who want to learn how to sing professionally or just for fun over an extended period of time. This means you can enroll anytime without worrying about missed courses.

The school has a professional team of music teachers who have extensive experience in teaching various genres such as classical and rock. They can help you develop your singing skills with individual tutoring or group classes depending on your preference.

If you’ve been thinking about taking singing lessons, but haven’t gotten around to it yet, here are a few reasons why you should choose Simply Music Lessons along Pembroke Street.

First is its free introductory lessons for singing! It’s true, you can try out some of its services for free before committing to anything. If you like it, then great! If not, they’ll be happy to help you find the teacher or class that fits your needs.

The second reason why we chose this music school is its award-winning teachers. It has award-winning voice teachers on staff who have taught students over the years and helped them achieve their goals through their experience.

Another thing, Simply Music’s singing lessons have personalized exercises that can help students meet their singing goals through exercises fit for their singing and learning levels.

We like that each student is given individual attention so that they can work on their specific needs while learning with better technique. This also means more time spent learning how to breathe properly and being able to use their voice confidently.

The minor limitations we noted is that it only has two vocal lessons. The studios also need some widening to accommodate more students, especially for lessons on instruments.

Still, the number of teachers is not a problem, considering that they are both experienced and known in singing and teaching.

  • Free Introductory Lessons for singing
  • Award-winning teachers
  • Personalized exercises
  • Teaches correct breathing techniques

  • Two teachers only
  • Small studios

Improves confidence

I have had the great privilege of joining a recent Simply Voice vocal workshop. Through the day in a wonderful inspirational outdoor setting, it was great to see how the confidence levels of all participants grew under Clodagh’s unique motivational coaching. We were taken along to free up vocal and total body tensions so that we could sing with confidence. The performances were all so impressive and joyful…” – Denis Madigan

Real talent

I had a wonderful day with Clodagh and the group at the one day retreat. Clodagh has a real talent for helping you feel at ease with your singing voice and teaches that the inner critic can stop us feeling the joy that comes with singing…” – Jessy! Lavelle

The Music Institute in Dublin is a great choice to go for singing lessons. It’s located along Rathmines Road, which is accessible by public transport and is close to the city center, so you can easily get there by walking or cycling.

If you ask us why we chose this institute, it’s because its courses are focused on gradual development of each learner’s skills, making sure that they’re not overwhelmed with too many things at once. The catch, students can focus more on what they need.

Another plus point to its hassle-free online lessons through video conferencing wherein you don’t have to commute. There are also recorded lessons and instant virtual notations that you can follow at home.

Also, we’re impressed with the talent of the teachers who have studied music to further hone their skills. It’s reassuring to note that they are also active in the music industry, so you can be confident that they know what they’re teaching.

And if you’re worried about finding time for lessons every week, don’t worry, you can start in the next available term because of its quick enrollment process.

One of the downsides, though, is there aren’t many in-studio equipment at The Music Institute in Dublin. But it shouldn’t matter too much because most of its lessons are done online anyway, and singing doesn’t require much heavy equipment to use.

It’s also closed on Sundays which can be a hindrance if you want to take classes during the week. Even so, it’s open until late night during weekdays to accommodate you.

  • Encouraging programs
  • Hassle-free online lessons
  • Great pool of talented teachers
  • Quick enrolment process

  • Few in-studio equipment
  • Closed on Sundays
