1. Kylemore Karting

VALUE | ★★★★☆ (4/5)Good services but could be a bit pricy |

CIRCUIT TRACKS | ★★★★★ (5/5)Beautifully-designed indoor tracks |
SAFETY | ★★★★★ (5/5)Comprehensive safety protocols |
If you want fun, fast, and safe racing at 65 km/h over 3 multi-level tracks, we recommend Kylemore Karting for racing go karts in Ireland!
Firstly, we appreciate that they have something to offer for different types of racers. They provide team building activities, karts for adults and children, conferencing, and off-site events.
Their tracks are placed indoors too! We believe this is the best option, especially if you don’t want to worry about the weather at all.
We also find it amazing that their 3 circuits are likened to famous tracks such as Belgian Formula 1, Monte Carlo Formula 1, and F1 Circuit de Suzuka in Japan.
With these attractive tracks, we feel that racers can have a fairly authentic and memorable experience. We saw that their karts and tracks are clean and well-maintained too!
We’d like to note that there are plenty of levels on their circuits as well. Because of this, we know racers will be constantly challenged and won’t easily get bored.
Additionally, we applaud their comprehensive racing packages. These consist of a complete safety briefing, full equipment, commentary, leaderboards, seated viewing areas, and a podium presentation to the top drivers.
Moreover, we’ve asked and they can help with transport arrangements too!
We also found out that children who are borderline their required height or with bend-in-knee requirements may be subject to further checks. We like how thorough they are to ensure everyone’s safety.
If that weren’t enough, we also commend their transparency about their COVID-19 procedures.
On their website, we can see their actions in reducing the capacity numbers, checking the temperatures, regularly disinfecting their facilities and equipment, offering hygiene packs, and the like.
We also like that their staff is friendly and they had no problem helping us with any equipment or with just adjusting our go kart seats.
However, some customers we’ve reached out to think their services are a wee bit pricy.
Additionally, several had to book a few weeks in advance to get their preferred day and time.
But all in all, we can say go karting at Kylemore in Dublin is worth it. Race on their tracks for an incredible go karting experience and see for yourself!

2. Pallas Karting

VALUE | ★★★★★ (5/5)Great go karting experience |

If you want more racing thrills and adventures, we think you’ll want to check out Pallas Karting in Galway!
Priding themselves as Europe’s largest karting centre, we believe you’ll enjoy their 85 kph Thunderkarts around their 1,500 m track.
With this mammoth-sized circuit, we feel you can push your skills to the limit and earn bragging rights among your family or friends when you finish it!
But if you’re going with novices or younger drivers, we’re glad they have a 500 m beginner track hitting speeds of up to 55 kph to accommodate them too. There’s something for everyone!
Among other go karting locations in Ireland, we think their prices are also pretty standard with decent facilities and equipment.
Some racers we talked to even vouch for their comfortable and immaculate circuit tracks. For one, a customer with his visually-impaired child told us go karting here was a very safe experience.
For these reasons, we can feel secure going go karting at Pallas’ tracks.
We just want to note that they could still improve the go karts too since several of them already look a bit old.
And while some racers mention that the tracks are on the safer side, we think these circuits can be a bit lacking in terms of challenge or spontaneity.
Another important drawback would be if you’re not a fan of wet tracks. We believe you’ll need to book them on a good day to fully enjoy go karting because it’s outdoors.
In the end, if you want to race with decent go karts in Ireland at reasonable prices, we suggest Pallas Karting for you!
Pros
- Europe’s largest karting centre
- Good for adults and kids
- Relatively safe tracks
Cons
- Tracks may lack thrill
- Some go karts may be worn-out
- Not the best for rainy days

Made my son’s day
“We had our son’s birthday party in Pallas karting today! Did Splatball and karting with 8, 12yrs olds boys. Excellent experience for all, we had amazing fun at splat ball with 2 great guys who made my son’s day. Well done to you all, would highly recommend it for a day out or party.” – Jennifer Ryan
Absolutely fantastic time
“Pretty good track layout. Decent facilities. Standard prices for karting generally. We went in the rain and still had an absolutely fantastic time. They provided us with wet gear on top of the usual overalls and gloves. Having visited plenty of karting tracks in my time I felt the karts were fast enough for the track considering people with less ability. Would love to go back and have a go on a nice sunny day.” – Glen Dunlop

We believe Adventure Park at Kartworld in Cork is an all-rounder when it comes to providing a great range of fun outdoor and indoor activities in Cork!
Whether it is for group and corporate events, school tours, youth clubs, hen parties, or a fun-filled family day out, we know you can find something suitable here.
For an adrenaline boost, we recommend their International Karting Track! We found that this is home to Munster’s biggest motorsport events, Irish Open Karting Champions, and Ultimate Drift Series in Ireland.
Because of this, we think you’ll find this track exhilarating as you drive on with high speeds on full throttle, straights, 8 bends, and 4 technical corners! We believe this challenging circuit is best for large groups and teams.
Nevertheless, some customers we’ve talked to say their go karts aren’t as fast as they wanted them to be. This could be different for every racer but we’d like to raise this in case speed is your priority.
But if you’re a beginner and want to tone down the thrill, we say that’s perfectly fine too! Families and friends can also enjoy their National Karting Track for ages 8 years and over.
We just want to add that some racers mentioned they needed to bring warm gloves and clothes during cold weather, so be extra prepared for your own sake!
Since Adventure Park first opened in 1994 as a professional race track, we are in awe that they kept on diversifying by adding other fun activities. This includes archery, laser tag, human bubble football, and many more!
We don’t want you to miss out on all sorts of outdoor and indoor fun so make sure to check out Adventure Park at Kartworld in Cork soon!

VALUE | ★★★★☆ (4/5)Good experience with go karting and the animals |
SERVICE | ★★★★☆ (4/5)Staff, although few, are accommodating |
CIRCUIT TRACKS | ★★★★☆ (4/5)Decent, spacious tracks |
SAFETY | ★★★★★ (5/5)COVID-safe location |
If you are looking to add more excitement to your go karting experience, we think you’ll love Kia Ora Mini Farm!
We could spend hours and never get bored here. From kids, teenagers, adults, and parents, we can all enjoy riding the go karts and spending time with the exotic animals.
We admire the plus-sized karts too since everyone in the family or a group of friends can ride together and just admire nature.
Also, it’s important for us that the animals seem well taken care of. We observed that they have clean pens, regularly get fresh water and food, and seem very friendly.
We believe there’s a variety of educational attractions here for the younger ones too. Aside from go karting and walking on the open farm, we also liked exploring the maze, operating their real mini diggers, milking the cow, and more!
However, some visitors told us that the pricing in this micro zoo was a little expensive.
We also want you to consider the times when the farm could get a bit crowded. We feel that this may overwhelm the staff every now and then, although they’re usually efficient.
And even if this location is spacious, we think it can still be better maintained or at least benefit from more revamping. Some rides may be outdated and need changing as well.
But overall, we recommend the plus go karts, cute animals, amusing toys, and other facilities at the Kia Ora Mini Farm – especially for kids and kids at heart!
Pros
- Spacious location
- Enjoyable go karts on a farm with animals
- Lots of activities to choose from
Cons
- Overcrowding from time to time
- Occasional insufficient staff
- Some rides may be outdated

Safety should be the top priority in racing with go karts in Ireland and that’s what we believe Kiltorcan Raceway offers.
What we like most is that their karts have a remote-control shutdown system. This allows the race marshals to slow down one or all karts in the event of an accident or dangerous driving.
In addition, we commend that their engines are also fully covered and will not result in anyone getting burnt accidentally.
If that weren’t enough, they told us the karts are constantly inspected on a daily or weekly basis. Therefore, we know any minor problems will be dealt with promptly to avoid any major damage or breakdowns on the track during a session.
To add excitement to the go karting experience, we found that they’re also known for their 2Drive sessions for drivers 21+ and 5+ years of age. We believe this would be super fun for a parent and child to try out!
We also want to compliment their nice and smooth tracks. In addition, we admire the “SLOW” and “PITS” text paint reminders on the track to ensure seamless turns for the challenging curves along the way.
By doing so, we like that they’ve thought of everything about the customers’ security. This is complemented by their accommodating and knowledgeable staff as well.
