I learned fitness isn’t scary at these 5 women’s gyms in Dublin!

Had enough of overcrowded gyms, intimidating male-dominant spaces, or the lack of female trainers? Me too! Since I juggle my writing and candle business, I barely have any time to work out.

I tried regular fitness centres, but I easily get anxious having many eyes on me. But since I was getting nowhere with my fitness goals, I made it my mission to find more suitable exercise spaces with only females.

So whether you’re a fitness newbie, busy professional, new mother, or older woman seeking safe workouts, I’ve got you covered with these top-rated women’s gyms in Dublin below.

How I Chose The Best Women’s Gyms in Dublin

Quality of Service: I chose Dublin women’s gyms with high ratings and client satisfaction that consistently provide quality services in a supportive environment.
Professionalism: Women’s fitness centres with certified trainers and experienced staff were prioritised. They must also be punctual and respectful.
Communication: The staff must be approachable and responsive to queries. They should be transparent with costs, your progress, and the like.
Range of Services: It was important for me to review women’s gyms that offer a broad range of services. This includes personal training and group classes, as well as other wellness programmes and nutrition coaching if available.
Facilities and Equipment: The women’s gym facilities should be modern, complete, clean and hygienic, and well-maintained overall.
Accessibility: I selected gyms in a central location. There were handy amenities, like parking, transport links, wheelchair-friendly spaces, or proximity to convenient establishments.
Understanding Client Needs: As a ladies’ gym, the staff should be client-focused, catering to each individual with tailored programmes and an inclusive environment.
Value for Money: Affordable fees were prioritised, but flexible plans and deals were also taken into account.

TPC is a private women’s gym in Dublin with professional trainers who specialise in helping women lose weight, tone up, and burn belly fat.

This gym serves women of all ages (18 to mid-60s) and backgrounds, too! And with its tailored sessions, I find it impressive that the trainers can cater to women with injuries and movement restrictions.

Regulars go through its 28-day challenge. But if you’re new, I like that a 28-day trial can be designed for you. It’s quite incredible how this programme can support women in all stages: before or after childbirth, as well as transition to and after menopause.

Moreover, beginner and advanced groups are separated here. Because of this, many newcomers would feel more comfortable being surrounded by those of similar skill level.

There’s also a small client-to-coach ratio, resulting in a more personalised attention and guidance.

On top of that, its location is close to Little Frieda’s coffee shop and the Lidl supermarket. For me, it’s so convenient to get a pre-workout coffee or post-workout groceries. There’s complimentary parking as well!

Nevertheless, a client I spoke with mentioned that this gym gets booked pretty fast, making it harder for the trainers to take on new clients.

Pros

  • Strategic location (near cafe and supermarket)
  • Supports women in most life stages
  • Injury-friendly sessions
  • Free parking

Cons

  • Few slots available at a time

Amazing Results in Just 28 Days

“I’m a boomerang to TPC. I originally joined in 2019 and left in 2021. After 4 years out and 2 more kids later, I just wasn’t getting the results I wanted with walking! The diet was also out the window! 🙊 I knew I needed to go back to TPC and get the results I wanted. I also needed to do something for me! The positivity and expertise from the TPC team is second to none. The 28 day challenge is a great reset. It’s not easy, but amazing results in just 28 days is hard to beat. You have to put in the hard work, but it’s fun too with lots of banter, high energy and music to keep you going. The 45 min classes, 3 times a week can fit into any schedule. The Peters brothers and other trainers are all experts and really supportive and positive and will help guide you.”

Great Team

“A great team of knowledgeable and encouraging instructors, and music not as loud as it used to be which is an added bonus!!”

CP Fitness has more than 10 years of experience, coaching women with a sustainable lifestyle and good long-term health. This gym provides personal and small group training, as well as elite signature programmes if you have the means for it.

Its 30-day trial gives access to 12 small group training sessions and unlimited team cardio classes. I like that its website mentions its price right away (which is €149), so you can easily compare this with other options.

This gym gives nutritional guidance, too, so it stays true to its mission of helping females keep their fit bodies—not just immediately solve weight problems through quick fixes.

Other than that, I love that this gym has an app where you can book a class. This can save you plenty of time looking for an available slot and booking before others.

Nonetheless, I noticed that this gym currently only has 5 trainers, which, potentially, might make it harder for them to accept plenty of clients at once.

Pros

  • 10+ years of expertise
  • Upfront with pricing
  • Includes nutritional guidance
  • Easy booking via app

Cons

  • Fewer trainers than others

Friendly and Positive

“Great experience so far. I’m new to the gym but find the atmosphere friendly and positive. The coaches are excellent and the support and encouragement they provide throughout each session is wonderful.”

– Ms. Deirdre Germaine, Google Review

Very Supportive

“Fantastic experience in cp fitness..Great coaches with plenty of support. The whole vibe of the place is easy going and relaxed.I always look forward to going .”

Curves is known for its 30-minute full-body workout. This already combines strength, cardio, and stretching, so you can target most problem areas.

Women of all ages and fitness levels are also welcome.

If you forgot to book or are pressed for time, you can drop by anytime during its opening hours. Plus, it’s comforting that there’s always a circuit coach here, showing that the gym can adapt to most schedules.

I find this fitness club’s app incredible too, since it’s an all-in-one system where you can plan your goals, track everything (like your progress with photos and habits), join community challenges, follow guided workouts, connect with coaches, and more.

Not only that, but this gym is also located in a shopping centre, so I reckon that means easier access for everyone juggling other errands with exercise.

Just note that its lower-cost membership tiers offer fewer weekly slots and perks overall. Still, I believe choosing this plan is a budget-friendly way to see if this gym’s services suit you.

Pros

  • Shopping centre location
  • Flexible with walk-ins
  • Always a circuit coach available
  • Feature-rich app for tracking progress

Cons

  • Cheaper plan limits slots and perks

Non-Judgmental and Motivational

“Lisa and her staff are very welcoming. They are non-judgemental and motivational no matter your fitness level. Always a lovely atmosphere during the 30 minute exercise circuit.”

– Ms. Christine Higgins, Google Review

Shape Up’s ladies-only gym in Dublin is famous for its 6 Week Shape Up programme. This includes 3 body-toning workouts a week, which I feel isn’t too much or too little—just enough to keep workouts consistent.

But what I like most about it is the complimentary trial for 7 days. In my book, this can really build trust with the clients before they fully commit.

I also love that the trainer is dedicated enough to provide 24/7 support. You can easily reach her if you have urgent fitness questions.

In addition, you’ll get full access to her flexible food plan. I appreciate that this still includes food and drinks you can enjoy, so it’s not too restrictive.

And if you need more people to talk to, I’m all for its private support group. I think it’s more encouraging to have other enthusiasts rooting for each other, especially after mistakes or relapses (which I feel are totally normal).

Yet, I noticed that this gym charges a tad higher than others at €165. Still, your decision should depend on your fitness goals or the package that suits you.

Pros

  • Free 7-day trial
  • 24-hour trainer support
  • Non-restrictive food plan
  • Private support group

Cons

  • Pricier than others

Expert Coaches, Amazing Group

“If I could post an avatar telling other women to sack off the guilt-ridden diets and the pointless 5ks and just sign up to a strengthening and genuinely fun programme where all you have to do is turn up and do the work: literally get out of bed and do what they tell you and you will see you results. The coaches are experts, the group are amazing, don’t waste your time on expensive gym memberships, pay these guys instead”

– Ms. Claire Frith-Keyes, Google Review

Loved It

“I joined Shape Up over 6 months ago, after initially doing the 6 week programme and loved it! The trainers and sense of community in this gym keeps me motivated to go each week! I never thought I would be the person who looked forward to going to the gym, but with Shape Up there’s no hesitation.”

SixFour Fitness is among the top Dublin women’s gyms offering semi-private personal training. With this fitness centre, you don’t have to wait for equipment and squat racks, since it will save a spot for you.

You’ll get access to 18 sessions with 1 coach for 6 ladies so everyone gets a fair slice of attention and guidance.

My favorite thing about them is how there are free class passes when you bring a gym buddy on your first week! Besides making things more fun, I believe having a gym buddy can help you become more consistent and accountable. Win-win for all!

And for busy professionals, I bet you’ll like its flexible schedule and class booking app. This gives you the freedom to choose exactly when you want to train, as well as other class types from Monday to Saturday.

Do keep in mind that there are limited weekend hours here. While Sundays are usually not an option for many gyms, its Saturday classes typically only last until 3 pm. This might not suit a lot of people’s schedules, so it’s best to plan in advance.

Pros

  • Free buddy pass in the 1st week
  • Guaranteed access to equipment
  • Flexible scheduling via app
  • Multiple class options 6 days a week

Cons

  • Short weekend availability

Brilliant, Knowledgeable, and Supportive

“I’ve been going to SixFour Fitness for about 4 months now and would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for small group personal training. Everyone is so welcoming, the range of class times is great, and the coaches are brilliant — knowledgeable, supportive, and always there to give you the encouragement (and push!) you need.”

– Ms. Aisling Mannion, Google Review

Cannot Recommend It Highly Enough

“I’ve been training her for over a year and cannot recommend it highly enough. The trainers are very knowledgeable and friendly. It is suitable for all levels. I’ve seen huge improvements in my training since join and have reached many milestones.”

– Ms. Lydia Foley, Google Review
