The Best Modeling Agencies in Dublin

Glamorous photo shoots, exotic locations, top fashion, and your photos all over. Who hasn’t wanted to be a model?

If you yourself are interested in becoming a model or working with a modeling agency as a creative, scout, or agent, we’re here to help. Here’s our list of the best modeling agencies in Dublin and how we rate each one!

Modeling Agency Costs

It’s important to note that most modeling agencies charge a 20% commission for each job they book for you.

Other than that, a new model may need to take into consideration the expenses for good quality headshots and portraits. This is to build a good portfolio to show at casting calls.

Depending on where you get it, how long the shoot is, and how many photos you get, a good quality photo shoot can cost you anywhere from €40 to €300.

Top Modeling Agencies

We evaluated these modeling agencies according to following criteria:

Diversity: We assessed the agency’s cast of models to see how likely they are to hire promising talent that doesn’t fall under the strict standards of the older industry and how well-represented different types of people are.
Network: This is based on how well-established the agency is and how easy it is for their models and employees to make connections in the industry
Jobs: This is based on the variety of jobs that the agency books for their models, including fashion, social media, eCommerce, etc.
Client Satisfaction: Finally, we surveyed clients and assessed reviews to see how happy they are working with these agencies.

Assets Model Agency is one of Ireland’s leading agencies representing fashion and commercial models, digital influencers, and TV personalities.

They have what we think is a decently diverse range of models, including models who are mature, curvy, young, and models of different ethnicities.

We appreciate the range because it means they’re more open to accepting people who want to model but don’t fit the traditional mold: tall, thin, and lithe.

They also represent a fairly large range of social media influencers. This includes fitness influencers, fashion influencers, and even musicians.

This similarly means that they are likely to accept you no matter what type of influencer you are and what area you operate in.

Creatives like stylists, hairdressers, and photographers are also welcome in Assets Model Agency. We really love the different opportunities they open their doors for.

Another thing we like about an agency like this is the networking opportunities it can give. Being a part of their family will instantly give you connections to all these creatives and talents from different fields.

According to our surveys, interested models are expected to pay a fee of €40-50 to register with them for a photo shoot.

A lot of people don’t like this business model because a lot of other agencies don’t require it. Personally, we do find it a little outdated.

Pros

  • Wide and diverse range of talent
  • Great networking opportunities

Cons

  • Registration fee

Client Reviews

Great experience

Had a great experience with Assets when I brought my daughters in for an open session. Made us feel welcome and explained clearly what way they work. Got two calls in relation to one of my daughters and she loved the shoot and taught she was the biz. -Declan Donelly

Kind and professional

I’ve been working with Assets for the past 4 years and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. I went to meet Courtney on my first day in September 4 years ago having not being signed by another agency. She immediately looked after me and said I had a good look for a particular company and then 2 weeks later was working for this company just to exemplify their knowledge of the industry. Not only do they look after their models but they are kind and professional towards all of their clients. Between Courtney, Marie-Claire, Rob and Derek there’s a brilliant understanding of what is often described as a lucrative business and I wouldn’t have any reservations about signing with them. Certain companies have been around for a long time for good reasons and Assets it’s one of them. -Geoff Hanley

Morgan the Agency established itself in 1973, making it the longest running modeling agency in Ireland.

We’re impressed with its continued success, because this means that they have a lot of experience and knowledge in the field.

They provide models, photographers, fashion stylists, make-up and hair artists, actors, commercial talent and personalities.

They even provide production services to clients. We think this makes them a great agency to work with because they can provide everything you need without looking for external collaborators.

Unfortunately, to model with them you need to be a certain height: at least 5’8” for women and at least 6’ for men.

We understand that this is an industry standard for show models, but we would have liked a little diversity in a changing industry. Today, even runway models come in different shapes and sizes.

However, if you don’t fit the criteria, you can still apply as a commercial model, which isn’t as rigid in its demands.

A large majority of their models are also white, which might make it harder for you to be accepted if you are of a different race.

Since Ireland is an increasingly diversifying country, we expect to see a wider variety of people modeling soon.

Pros

  • Longest established modeling agency in Ireland
  • Production services

Cons

  • Height requirement for fashion models
  • Very little diversity in race

Catwalk Model Agency specializes in marketing for fashion and bridal markets.

Their models do a variety of work, including fashion shows, PR, photographic shoots, promotional events, wedding fairs and television.

While they don’t have as many models as some of the other agencies on this list, they do represent a number of mature models and models of other ethnicities.

This is still a very small minority in their group, so if you are of a different race, we think this is something to consider if you want to sign with them.

They also have experience in fashion show production with teams for staging, lighting, AV, sound, DJ, MC, venue scouting, backstage management, booking of hair & makeup artists, backdrops & top models.

We like that this means that booking Catwalk Model Agency for shows would mean having everything you need taken care of. According to their site, they’re able to accommodate any budget, too.

They also have a Teen StyleCamp which coaches teenagers in grooming, etiquette, and styling. This includes courses on health, fitness, skincare, fashion styling, and self-esteem building.

We like this course for teenagers who might be interested in industries such as performance and modeling. They get to learn from professionals about how best to present themselves, and feel more confident in themselves as well.

Pros

  • Show production services
  • Teen StyleCamp
  • Bridal expertise

Cons

  • Less diversity in race

Eloi Models says their goal is to “break the mould.” According to their website, they want to get rid of old concepts and take risks to be new and innovative.

They’re currently a small agency with only a few models represented. We think this might make it harder for some people to make connections in the industry.

It might also make it harder to get booked for larger castings such as fashion shows. Some shows might want to book models from a single agency.

Although they’re small, they do represent a diverse range of people. These include people from African, Asian, and Latin communities.

We think that people who are hesitant about their chances to model in Ireland have higher chances with Eloi Models. They also represent models who are shorter than the industry standard.

According to their website, they’re always scouting for new talent, so go ahead and apply.

We should also note that the website in question is very sleek-looking and user-friendly. Since this is an industry that very much cares about aesthetics, we think this should be taken into consideration.

They have done work for music videos, ads and clothing campaigns, short films, magazines, and websites.

Pros

  • Diverse in race and looks
  • Sleek and user-friendly website

Cons

  • Small agency with a short list of models

Fraser Models & Actors represents editorial, catalogue, and show models both in Ireland and internationally. They also work with actors for film, television, and stage.

The agency also provides casting solutions and cast management for advertising, commercial, and digital. This includes child casting and family casting.

We like that Fraser has a wide and diverse variety of models in terms of age and race. They seem to have the biggest cast of models and talent from the agencies listed here.

This means that no matter what your look or intended audience is, we think you’d get a good shot finding work with Fraser.

From our surveys, both clients who have hired from them and models who work with them love their professionalism.

They’re constantly scouting for talent from both established models and those looking for their first big break. You can apply to work with them on their website.

We do wish their website were a little less messy and easier to navigate. It looks crowded and busy, which might make some interested parties less likely to look through it.

Pros

  • Incredibly diverse range of models and actors
  • Casting solutions and management
  • Children and family talents

Cons

  • Website is hard to navigate
