A local favorite, Puspita Massage is an award-winning therapy clinic. Their masseuses are trained in traditional Balinese and Western massage techniques.

Customers we’ve talked to told us they often return to alleviate pain in their lower back, neck, muscles, or even pregnancy-related discomfort.

Speaking of, their maternal massages are one of their most popular treatments. This is because it’s known to relieve muscle and joint pain, swelling, and soreness.

Aside from that, their deep tissue massage and aromatherapy are also one of their most sought treatments. They recommend the former for chronic pain and the latter for tightness.

Because their clinic is a member of the Irish Massage Therapist Association, they give cashback to customers that are members of Irish Life Health. To claim, all you need to do is submit your receipt online. We can definitely add this to their list of advantages.

We like that their booking process is easy and straightforward. You can select a date on their website and provide the necessary personal details afterward.

Though keep in mind that since they’re a popular clinic, they’re often fully booked. We were also bummed that they’re closed on Mondays and Sundays.

Hence, we suggest you book in advance and check your emails for your slot confirmation.

Pros

  • Award-winning clinic
  • Offers prenatal massages
  • Has online booking
  • Offers cashback to members of Irish Life Health
  • Member of the Irish Massage Therapists Association

Cons

  • Closed on Mondays and Sundays
  • Due to their popularity, it may be difficult to secure a slot

Pressure was perfect and she really listened to what I wanted

“Really great massage! It felt so much more than an hour. My back had been giving me trouble and even after just one session I felt relief and slept a lot better too. I had a full body massage, pressure was perfect and she really listened to what I wanted. Even booked another appointment before I left!” – Valerie Gleeson, Google Reviews

I went home feeling so much better

“Dee asked me about how I felt and where was the pain. She gave me a deep tissue massage and I went home feeling so much better. I’m going back for sure. She’s friendly, kind, professional and excellent in what she does. Best massage I’ve ever had. I highly recommend!” – Sorayareny Nepomuceno, Google Reviews

Members of the Irish Massage Therapists Association (IMTA), Edilma Therapy offers a wide array of therapy treatments from simple hand and foot massages to relaxing full-body massages.

We like the fact that their selection has treatments that tackle specific parts of your body. This way, their masseuses can focus on where there is the most tension and pain build-up.

You can book a slot on their user-friendly website. You can select multiple treatments and see your booking summary along with the total fee in real-time.

Did we mention they have add-ons? They have dry body brushing which involves massaging the body with a stiff-bristled brush for €10 and hot oil which is added to massages for €10.

We also think that you should also keep an eye out for their promos. They have discounts for their massage services which are offered for a limited time only.

To add to their list of pros, they accept card payments. However, they don’t elaborate on the details of their accepted payment schemes so you’ll have to inquire.

Aside from being closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, a few of their drawbacks are they have an irregular schedule and short operating hours.

Because of this, we think it may be difficult to secure an appointment especially when they’re fully booked.

Pros

  • Member of the IMTA
  • Has online booking
  • Accepts card payments
  • Offer add-ons
  • Offers promos

Cons

  • Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays
  • Irregular operating hours

Customer Reviews

Very careful and she listens to your body

“After 3 years I keep choosing Edilma’s treatments. She’s the best, I tried different places but the massages were too soft or too strong, while Edilma is very careful and she listens to your body. Even when I was in a lot of pain, she made me feel immediately better. She also does a lot of research by using new techniques. Highly recommended!♥️” – Giulia Girolametti, Google Reviews

She know how to take care of the parts that need some extra attention

“Had a very great relaxing massage from Edilma. She know how to take care of the parts that need some extra attention. She makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. Will definitely book again soon.” – E. Kramers, Google Reviews

If you’re looking for a more intense selection of massages, Remedy Massage offers pain care and rehabilitation therapy.

Particularly, they offer: therapeutic and sports massages, neuromuscular therapy, and remedial bodywork.

We also think it’s worth mentioning that they’re members of the Association for Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy (ANMT) and the Irish Massage Therapists Association (IMTA).

Hence, despite their limited options, they’re a good option if you have chronic pain and injuries.

Keep in mind that although sessions last 60 minutes, the actual hands-on treatment time will take around 45-50 minutes. This is to give way for discussions of medical history and the like.

When it comes to appointment booking, the process is straightforward since you can do so on their website by completing a form.

Another thing we liked was they accept multiple payment options. Namely, cash, cards, Apple and Google Pay, bank transfer, as well as phone and online payments.

To add, they also accept insurances from Irish Life Health and Laya Healthcare. You can claim cashback depending on the level of coverage on your policy and the clinic’s conditions.

On the flip side, we’re not so pleased to find that they were closed nearly 4 days a week. Particularly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Sundays, and Saturdays (on request).

To compensate for that, they’re open from 10AM to 7PM. Even so, we think that it may be difficult to book a slot since they’re only open 3 days a week.

Pros

  • Accepts selected insurances
  • Members of ANMT and IMTA
  • Has various payment options
  • Has online booking

Cons

  • Closed on Saturdays*, Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays
  • Limited massage options

Been instrumental in helping me deal with some long-term physical issues

“Staś has been instrumental in helping me deal with some long-term physical issues, and to understand the deeper causes behind them. He’s kind and professional and a lot of fun to talk to, and very comfortable to work with. His approach is deceptively gentle and relaxing, but has been extremely effective for me. I’d recommend his services to anyone!” – B. Fletcher, Google Reviews

Leaves you feeling refreshed, energized, and informed

“Where to start? To say that Staś is an amazing massage therapist, would be an understatement. He truly makes every experience at Remedy Massage an enjoyable one. Not only does he target the area’s of concern during the sessions, he also educates and informs the patient on ways to prevent/fix the issue by giving useful tips/recommendations to integrate into the activities of daily living. From breathing to stress relief tips, Staś ensures that you have all the necessary tools to allow your body to reset and recharge. He targets the issues holistically and leaves you feeling refreshed, energized, and informed. Overall, amazing experience every time.” – Cristina Giliberto

What sets Workatreat Massage Therapy apart from our other entries is that they offer relaxation massages and therapeutic deep massages for as long as 120 minutes

This is because most clinics offer massages for as long as 90 minutes only. Hence, we appreciate the extra time to indulge.

Their most sought-after treatments are Deep Tissue Massage and Remedial Massage. The former is best for sprains and sports injuries while the latter is good for releasing tension and increasing mobility.

Another unique thing about them was that they offer Workplace Massage. Here, you can hire their masseuses to visit your workplace to give your employees an on-site chair massage

This feature caught our eye since it’s exclusive for businesses. It’s also a good way to help re-energize your employees throughout the workday.

This costs as low as €10 to €12 per employee. However, this may vary on a number of factors which is why we suggest you request a quote

Keep in mind that if your location is more than 10 km from Cork city center they have an additional travel fee of €10.

Oh, and an important aspect worth mentioning: they accept various methods of payment. Namely: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal.

If you’re privately insured with Irish Life Health, you can also get cashback depending on your policy. We suggest reading the fine print and inquiring to be sure.

We also appreciate the convenience of their online booking. Their user-friendly interface shows a straightforward booking menu that’s easy to navigate.

Although they’re closed on Sundays, their business hours are quite long during the weekdays. But due to their popularity, it may be difficult to secure a slot.

Pros

  • Accepts selected insurances
  • Has various payment options
  • Has online booking
  • Member of IMTA
  • Offers on-site workplace massages

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays
  • Due to their popularity, it may be difficult to secure a slot

Customer Reviews

She is a really good massage therapist

“I’ve been to Karolina a few times now for some sports massages.  She is a really good massage therapist applying the right amount of pressure depending on the issue.  She explains things clearly and gives exercises to help with any problem areas.  Would definitely recommend.” – Shane O’Leary, Google Reviews

The massage was out of this world

“I selected a deep tissue massage as I had pain and tightness in my back for the past number of years. As soon as I met karolina, she explained the whole process to me, provided me with some exercises and advice about how to proceed afterwards. The massage was out of this world, and the pain felt really good! 1 day later, there is a bit of stiffness there as she had notified me about, but I feel a lot better for sure! Definitely worth the money for the service provided!” – Ovidius Klikovas, Google Reviews

Among our other entries, Maya Thai Massage Therapy stood out of their affordable prices without cutting back on the quality of their services.

Oh, and an important aspect worth mentioning: the client service is one of the best ones available.

To be specific, Maya Thai is a local favorite because their masseuses are known to take their time dealing with your knots and pains.

Hence, it’s not a mystery as to why they’re frequented by locals and tourists alike. This is also why they’re often fully booked which makes it tricky to get an appointment with them.

They are open 6 days a week from 10AM to 7PM to try and accommodate all clients. Unfortunately, they’re closed on Sundays.

Among their selection, a fan favorite is their Deep Tissue Massage. This massage requires more pressure to be able to release tension and stiffness in the neck, shoulders, and back.

Another favorite is their Hot Oil Massage. Here, they have a blend of hot oils that are applied throughout the body to help ease aches and pains.

Anyhow, you can easily book online via their website or give them a call. You can choose your preferred date and time there as well.

To add to their list of pros, they accept a variety of payment options. Namely: PayPal, Stripe, Visa, and Mastercard which we think is convenient.

Speaking of payment, you can also pay online during the booking process. This extra convenience definitely deserves a plus from us.

Pros

  • Affordable
  • Online booking available
  • Online payment available
  • Has various payment options

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays
