BabySteps is a Dublin-based independent fertility clinic that has been operating for more than a decade under the WorldWide Health Optimizing paradigm. Although it’s just a small team and may have limited capacity, this clinic offers a wide range of treatment options.

What we love most about them is that they believe in supporting their clients’ bodies in their ability to self-heal and regain homeostasis to function as intended. They also combine medical technology and natural treatments to deliver results.

So when you consult with them, expect a combination of supplements, diet and lifestyle advice, modern treatments, and therapies such as acupuncture.

Another thing that we like about them is that late evening appointments are available and the results of your full health and fertility assessment will be released on the same day.

“I went for acupuncture  with Lisa at 37 & 38 weeks. My experience was so positive. I felt utterly relaxed during the session and felt that she was both interested and listening to how I was feeling overall. I’d highly recommend her to anyone considering acupuncture.” -Tara Uí Adhmaill

“Amazing service. I have been dealing with chronic inflammation in my Gut for over 8 months visiting GPs and hospitals not yet gaining clarity. Visiting Lisa was so helpful. I was able to find out exactly what is happening inside of my gut and given solutions to solve the issue. I also got to discover other areas of my body that are needing support , which I did not know about before Meeting Lisa.  I feel at much more ease having had this experience as now I have Answers. Thank you . Highly Recommended” -Shannon

“I was a week overdue on my baby and after a lovely acupuncture session with Lisa, baby was here within 48 hours. It was a swift and straightforward labour. I had no prior experience of acupuncture but found it relaxing and pleasant.” -Katie Smyth

NeoFertility Clinic is another highly rated fertility clinic in the city that focuses on non-invasive treatments with little to no side effects. This means they don’t offer fertility solutions such as IVF.

They work by identifying the root cause of infertility and then aiming to improve your overall health to increase your chances of conceiving naturally. Basically, their approach is more of a restorative process that takes time instead of an instant or a quick fix.

When you consult with them, expect to undergo blood tests, ultrasounds, analysis of the male factor, and fertility charting. This thorough assessment is necessary for them to figure out where the deficiency lies and lay out options on how your reproductive health can be improved.

Although they’re just a small team of two doctors and three admin staff, which means they have limited capacity, their professionals are highly competent. In fact, they have over two decades of clinical experience and are experts in advanced medical and surgical techniques.

Pros

  • Focuses on non-invasive treatments
  • Works by identifying the root cause of infertility and aims to balance your cycle and improve overall health

Cons

  • Small team of two doctors may mean limited capacity
  • Doesn’t offer IVF

Customer Reviews

Here are some of the reviews from their past clients:

“We saw Dr Boyle in 2020. After 4 months of cycle tracking he found the best course of treatment to help my hormone levels. I also took the advice to eat well, exercise moderately and get plenty of sleep. I felt so much healthier and happier in myself (even in lockdown). We were then given the green light to try and thankfully we conceived on the first month of trying.  Our little girl arrived 9 months later and she is perfect. I have reccomended Neo fertility to a few friends and colleagues. Their payment plan makes it affordable and I love that they focus on finding the “problem” to provide a Solution rather than expensive treatment plans. Thanks so much Dr Boyle and your team.”  -Aoife Harvey

“I have recommended this clinic to many people. They use a wide variety of tests and approaches to get a tailor-made treatment for each couple, which helps to bond and support you. I suffer with low hormones and while I conceived naturally, I needed Dr Boyle to treat me both times to keep my pregnancies. Thanks to his experience and insight, he was able to give me treatments not available elsewhere and I now have two beautiful children and cannot thank them enough for all the care received when I needed it most. Like another reviewer said, I received late night calls to verify pregnancy on my first baby, when time was of the essence and many out of hours emails to get updated prescriptions or clarifications, etc. This was never a problem and I always felt in the safest of hands. I would definitely use the clinic again! Thanks to all the Team” -Marian Mellett

“Thanks to Dr Boyle and team for helping us with our second pregnancy. Thanks for  helping us in times of doubt and thoughtfully changing prescriptions over the last one year. Thanks for answering all our queries with patience and applying clinical expertise to solve any underlying issues we might have had. Overall we are very happy with the advice we got and success we got through this clinic.” -Vinson Sakaria

As the name suggests, AcuBaby is a fertility clinic that focuses on acupuncture as treatment. This means they have limited services compared to typical clinics in the city.

However, you can be assured of the quality of service, as it’s led by an acupuncturist with over 12 years of experience. The team offers acupuncture for male and female fertility, pregnancy, and PCOS.

The good thing about this approach is that it is natural, drug-free, and free from side-effects for you and the baby. For pregnant women, AcuBaby’s solutions can ease discomforts and make birth an easier process.

Another unique thing about this clinic is that it offers placenta encapsulation. You’ve probably heard about the practice of consuming placenta after having a baby.

Well, AcuBaby is certified to transform a fresh placenta into a postnatal supplement. They do this by dehydrating the placenta into fine powder and putting it into capsules which are 100% safe to consume.

One thing to note about this clinic, though, is that they’re only open during Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

  • Also offers placenta encapsulation
  • Led by an acupuncturist with over 12 years of experience

Below are some of the testimonials from their past clients:

“I have gotten the placenta encapsulation done twice now by Sabine and cannot thank her enough. Such amazing affects I felt after the birth of my 1st child while taking the capsules, currently just started the capsules after my 2nd child. I noticed more milk flow with breastfeeding, more energy for myself and truly helped with the “baby blues”. This service I cannot recommend highly enough, Sabine is so nice, professional, and truly cares for her clients.I think this is something everyone should try and do if possible! :)” -Sorcha

“Getting my placenta  encapsulated was such a great experience, I felt so good taking the capsules. My baby is one month old and I still am taking these capsules, I have more energy then I had for my first baby and everything has healed up so much quicker. I got my capsules delivered in a beautiful package and it was all very quick and easy! Will definitely be doing this again and Sabine took great care of everything it was brilliant!” -Ellen O’Brien

“I’m in the fifth week since I had my baby and I’ve been taking the tablets daily. I feel they have helped with my recovery and energy levels. My hair, skin and nails have never been better. Our baby came 3 weeks early and I know it was a busy time for Sabine but she was so helpful and made the process very straightforward for us.” -Ciara MacKenna

Customer Reviews

Check out the reviews from their past clients:

“If it wasn’t for the Merrion Fertility Clinic I wouldn’t have my 2 children. They went above and beyond to help us, everyone from the girls at reception, the doctors, nurses and everyone else we dealt with we couldn’t of asked for better care. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone having problems they made our dream come true.” -Laura Johnston

“MFC were amazing in helping us achieve our dream of becoming parents. All the staff from the nurses to the receptionist were so caring and understanding. You could feel they really wanted a positive outcome for us every step of the way. That is why we wont hesitate to return to MFC shortly to hopefully add to our family. Thank you so much to everyone in MFC!!” -Yvonne Kiely

“Not sure where to start, I suppose from the start! My partner and I had a consultation with Dr. Reidy in 2018, and we were given a very thorough review of our options and of course Dr. Reidy told us there were no guarantees. This was reiterated in Nov 2019, when we decided to finally make the leap to go ahead with IVF. We did unfortunately have a failed cycle in December 2019. Not to be disheartened however, we were fully up for going again. We debriefed with Dr. Reidy and to our surprise she advised that I go for a laparoscopy to investigate further. In February 2020, Dr. Wingfield (consultant with MFC), performed the procedure. I was shocked to find out I had endometriosis, sneakily hiding behind both my ovaries and in far parts of my uterus, which was removed. I might add, I never had ‘symptoms’ of endo. I am happy to report I am now 15 weeks pregnant with twins – a direct result of the laparoscopy. So, although the IVF did fail, MFC did not fail us. Instead of forcing us into another doomed cycle they took the time to get to the root cause. We are so very thankful to all the staff and especially Dr. Reidy and Dr. Wingfield, who gave us our chance at a family.” -Aine M.

Sims IVF is yet another reliable fertility clinic in the country with presence in Dublin and Cork. It has been operating since 1997 and has a large team of doctors, nurses, lab professionals, and admin staff.

Its 11 doctors have varying areas of expertise, which allows the clinic to offer a full range of fertility tests and treatments. From non-invasive procedures such as artificial insemination and ovulation induction to more advanced technologies such as IVF, preimplantation genetic screening, and ICSI, this clinic can handle it.

However, as you probably can tell based on its name, it specialises in IVF. Its team of doctors work at the forefront of this modern technology and their IVF success rates are competitive.

Another thing that we like about Sims IVF is that it’s part of Virtus Health since 2014, which is one of the leading fertility groups globally. This means it can share knowledge from other fertility experts around the world.

However, one thing that some past clients complain about is their slow communication, which is understandable because it has a lot of clients throughout Ireland.

Customer Reviews

Here are some of the comments of their past clients regarding their services:

“Been here twice for different testing and have had nothing but good experiences. I had an SIS last week by Tess and she was amazing!! Made me feel so at ease, was really informative, talked me through each step and how it would feel, gentle and empathetic. She was so helpful In Answering all my questions and concerns that I left skipping! I also had a fantastic experience with the woman who did my bloods but sadly I didn’t get her name. She was very patient, bubbly, gentle and just lovely with a warming personality knowing I had a fear of needles. They are all very quick to answer emails or calls with queries and so far I have had a great experience for something that is a tough time and experience m for most women and couples. Thank you all!” -Nicole Walsh

“Very professional and friendly staff. I always found the clinic to be very organised and flexible. This is my second cycle after a successful cycle 2 years ago and wouldn’t go anywhere else.” -Helen James

“My experience with Sims was very positive, I found all staff were really helpful, reassuring, and I never felt like they were only after money. They made me feel very comfortable and helped my dream come true. I have and would happily recommend them” -Rachael Gorman (Elle_phant)
