The 5 Best Apartments in Dublin

As exciting as it is to begin a new chapter of your life in a new space, apartment hunting is no easy feat and will surely make your head spin.

Luckily for you, we’re here to make everything a whole lot easier with our recommendations of the best apartments in Dublin!

In this article, we’ll show you the breakdown of our selection process as well as how our picks measure up to each other. We also added pros, cons, and answers to FAQs!

How much do apartments in Dublin cost?

According to the Irish Times, €1,643 is the average monthly cost of renting a 1 bedroom flat in Dublin. Meanwhile, rent at the outskirts of Dublin average at around €1,419 monthly.

If this may seem quite high to you, that’s because Dublin is the sixth most expensive capital city for renters. This can be attributed to the fact that the cost of living in Dublin is pretty pricey, too.

Naturally, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all cost for apartments because there are a number of factors that landlords consider when coming up with their prices.

These include property type, location, size, facilities, and more.

Situated adjacent to the scenic River Liffey lies the quaint 13-acre community of Clancy Quay.

What really drew us in was their diverse selection of accommodation offerings. They have 1, 2, 3, and even 4-bed apartments that are either studios or fully furnished spaces.

We also appreciate that they have pet-friendly apartment options. This makes them a viable option if you’re looking for a place that allows pets.

To add to their list of positives, their apartments have a centralized heating system installed. We think this’ll definitely serve its purpose during the colder months.

Aside from that, their strategic location also offers a ton of conveniences. For instance, there are a number of establishments nearby as well as motorways and primary roads.

As for their community amenities, we were surprised to see that they have a business lounge with office pods. We think that’ll come in handy for WFH individuals, especially for those without a home office.

But here’s the hitch: they don’t have on-site parking. We think this may be a big dealbreaker for many especially since it’ll be quite a hassle to park your car elsewhere.

They also don’t have a pool which is quite a bummer, though not a dealbreaker.

To keep everything in check, they have an on-site management office along with 24-hour security and CCTV. They have after-hour management services, too.

Pros

  • Has on-site management suite
  • Wide selection of fully-furnished apartments
  • Offers pet-friendly apartment options
  • Apartments have centralized heating systems
  • Has a business lounge

Cons

  • No parking
  • No pool

If you’re on the lookout for apartments that are move-in ready, Vantage Apartments offer a wide selection of fully-furnished apartments of varying sizes.

Particularly, 1,2, and 3-bed apartments as well as a 3-bed duplex and 3-bed penthouses. You can view their floor plans along with the number of bedrooms, baths, floor area, and such here

We appreciate how accessible of their apartments are since they’re near popular shops and local parks such as St. Stephen’s Green and Marlay Park.

This makes them a great option if you’re into exercising outdoors or simply want fresh air and a view of the greenery.

We also want to highlight the array of amenities they have for their homeowners. They have a fitness center, games room, cinema room, children’s playroom, and playground to name a few.

We were quite bummed that they don’t have a pool, though. However, we think that the fact that they have a secure underground parking space definitely makes up for it.

Nevertheless, we think their security is also top-notch with a video-entry phone system and 24-hour monitored CCTV.

They also have a dedicated property manager and on-site management office to ensure that everything’s in check.

Our sources praised the efficiency of their letting process and the friendliness of their staff. Hence, we don’t think they’ll be a headache to work with.

However, we weren’t able to find their business hours. This is quite an inconvenience since potential letters don’t know when they can contact their agents.

Pros

  • Wide selection of fully-furnished apartments
  • Has dedicated property manager and on-site management office
  • Has underground parking

Cons

  • No business hours available
  • No pool

Capital Dock stood out to us because of how lively their community is. Nearby, you have theatres, restaurants, bars, shops, markets, and more.

We appreciate the convenience of having a ton of shops and services right outside your living space.

Speaking of living space, Capital Dock has 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments and penthouses. These are fully furnished with bespoke furniture and even custom-designed kitchens.

Another cool thing about their apartments is that they have under-floor heating. We appreciate this little touch, especially when it gets chilly.

We also wanted to highlight the fact that they have pet-friendly units. If you’re not looking to stay long, they also have serviced apartments that you can rent out.

Just like any other apartment building, they have the usual amenities. They have a private gym and fitness studio, cinema, games room, communal spaces, and more, but no pool.

What really caught our eye, though, was their business lounge that boasts meeting rooms and work pods. We think that’ll be useful especially if you don’t have a home office.

Unfortunately, they don’t have their own parking space. This may prove to be a dealbreaker to some especially since it’ll be quite the inconvenience to have to park far from home.

We were bummed that they didn’t have their business hours posted. This is quite an inconvenience since customers don’t know when they can inquire.

Pros

  • Wide selection of fully-furnished apartments
  • Offers pet-friendly and serviced apartment options
  • Has a business lounge
  • Has underfloor heating

Cons

  • No business hours available
  • No pool
  • No parking

Their residential district offers 1, 2, and 3-bed apartments and a 3-bed penthouse. Although the selection may be limited, we think the accessibility of their development makes up for it.

The Grange’s strategic South Dublin location allows convenient access to primary roads, motorways, and nearby districts.

That’s not all, though. they also have underground parking which we think is definitely a well-appreciated bonus.

Did we mention that they also have laundry collection/drop-off services? We think this is beneficial since it’ll save you the hassle of lugging your laundry to the launderettes.

To keep everything in check, they have a dedicated property manager along with 24-hour security. They have emergency maintenance services, too, in case of a sudden leak or other home emergencies.

On the flip side, we were disappointed to see that bikes and skateboards weren’t allowed on the property. Their property isn’t pet-friendly, too.

Their management has also been cited as strict, but with good reason, though. Even so, The Grange may not be palatable for tenants who prefer more lenient management.

Unfortunately, they don’t have their hours posted on their website. We think this may be an oversight, but quite an inconvenience, nonetheless.

Pros

  • Has underground parking
  • Has a dedicated property manager
  • Has laundry collection/drop-off service

Cons

  • No bikes and skateboards allowed
  • No pets
  • No business hours available

Extremely well maintained and built

“Been living here for 5 years. I haven’t seen or lived in a better complex in Dublin. Extremely well maintained and built. Ya the rules are strict but you need to be clear and strict when you have over 500 apartments to manage. Concierge service is a life saver for packages. Yes there are some kids who use the common areas outside to play ball and such, but they are kids, what else are they supposed to do. They never cause any issues from what I have seen and they are polite. This place is 12 min walk to the luas and 3 min walk to the bus. If you can get one for a compatible price to other apartments then I would absolutely recommend The Grange.” – Vincent O., Google Reviews

Nice apartments, good locations

“Hello, I wish to share a review especially about the on site concierge team ! I used to live with my wife in different places but here on The Grange this team working on site is 5 star ! Especially best regards to Michael 🙂 Always happy to help, resolving any issues as soon as possible (very often same day), always kind and honest ! He is the right person on the right place and we wish him very best in the future ! You should hold some serious positions in your adult life and I am pretty sure that you become very successful person ! Also regards to Mr. Colm who is same as Michael always happy to help and talk about anything we may have. Regarding to the complex, good place to live. Nice apartments, good locations. Kids could play on the playground not everywhere else but it is possible to manage. Also cars coming on site is an issue but again in progress and possible to manage and deal with it. If you are looking for not too expensive place to live with good locations, etc then The Grange is the place you are looking for 🙂 Best, Jack and Iwona” – Jack Niedzwiecki, Google Reviews
