We recently visited W5 in Belfast, and it was such a fantastic experience for the whole family. There are so many interactive exhibits to explore, and they had a blast trying out all the different activities. 

The giant slide and the water play area were definite favorites, and I was impressed by how engaging and educational the exhibits were. Plus, it’s wonderful that W5 is wheelchair-friendly and offers sensory-friendly experiences. 

2. Learn about Ireland’s history at the Ulster Museum

The Ulster Museum is a treasure trove of history, art, and natural science. The archaeological exhibits take us back in time, and the art collection showcases breathtaking Irish landscapes.

The kids loved the Discovery Zone, a hands-on gallery for young visitors. They had a blast building their miniature Titanic and experimenting with scientific concepts. 

3. Explore football history at the Irish FA Headquarters

The Irish Football Association Headquarters offers a guided tour. We got to see the players’ dressing rooms, walk onto the pitch at the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park, and even peek into the boardroom where important decisions are made. 

But the activities designed just for them made the visit special for my kids. They got to participate in football skills clinics and play interactive games that kept them entertained and engaged throughout the visit. 

4. Explore the wild wonders of Belfast Zoo

Belfast Zoo is like a hidden oasis in the city. It’s filled with fascinating animals from around the world, and the kids were especially thrilled to see the majestic lions and playful monkeys up close. 

What makes this place even more special is its historic setting. It was a Victorian botanical garden, and many original structures remain. The kids loved strolling through the beautiful gardens and riding the vintage carousel.

We recently visited Lost City Adventure Golf, and it was a blast! My kids absolutely loved the jungle theme and the cool obstacles, such as the towering waterfalls and dinosaur skeletons.

One thing that stood out to me was their commitment to sustainability. It feels good to have fun knowing that the course is built with eco-friendly materials and supports sustainable initiatives. It’s a win-win for entertainment and the environment!

We recently visited Andersonstown Leisure Centre in Belfast, and it was such a fantastic experience for the whole family. The kids loved the Tropical Lagoon with its wave machine, lazy river, and thrilling water slide. 

It was like a mini tropical paradise right in the city’s heart. The best part was seeing the kids having hours of fun and excitement in the pool. They also have accessible facilities and programs for people with disabilities.

7. Explore the enchanting Colin Glen Forest Park

We recently visited Colin Glen Forest Park, an amazing experience for the whole family. The kids loved exploring the lush woodlands, spotting the cascading waterfalls, and walking along the picturesque trails. 

The treetop canopy adventure was a big hit with them. We also had a fantastic time at the play area and enjoying refreshments at the café. We joined a guided walk, and the kids had so much fun learning about the park’s history and wildlife. 

8. Explore the magical world of Narnia at the CS Lewis Square

CS Lewis Square is a public space in Belfast, Northern Ireland, dedicated to the famous author C.S. Lewis, creator of the beloved Chronicles of Narnia series. The square’s centerpiece is a bronze statue of C.S. Lewis himself, seated on a bench. 

You’ll also find beautifully carved stone pillars depicting scenes from the Narnia books, such as the lamppost that transports the Pevensie children to Narnia. My kids loved the children’s play area, which featured a wooden castle, slides, and climbing frames.

9. Jump into a world of inflatable fun at Airtastic Belfast

Airtastic Belfast is an indoor playground with giant inflatable slides, obstacle courses, and ball pits that entertained my kids for hours. What I loved the most was the strict safety regulations and attentive supervision, which made me feel at ease.

The interactive play area was a hit with my kids. They loved exploring, climbing, and sliding through the maze of inflatable structures. The ball pits were a particular favorite, offering a sensory-rich experience that entertained them for ages.

We recently visited Prison Island, and the interactive Titanic Experience was a huge hit with the kids. They loved exploring the ship’s grand staircase, peeking into the cabins, and pretending to steer the ship’s wheel. 

The outdoor activities, like the playground and mini-golf, were also fantastic—the kids had a blast. The tranquil gardens made for a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a picnic.
