If you’re the type to enjoy beautiful scenery, plenty of activities, and a hot tub to relax after a long day, Waterfall Caves is the best place to go glamping. It’s situated in Northern Ireland, quite far from more popular cities, but definitely worth travelling to!

According to former guests, Waterfall Caves was like a place straight out of a fairytale book. It’s surrounded by a forest and a lake, making the scenery look like a painting.

We love that it even gets better at night! There are lights that surround the place, but their glow is just enough for the guests to appreciate the backdrop of stars.

In terms of amenities, we appreciate that the cabins are all well-equipped with everything the guests need. The facilities are well-maintained as well and always available for everyone.

We also want to commend the staff and the owners for being amazing hosts! They’re very friendly and have lots of stories to tell and of course, food recommendations.

Another thing we love about Waterfall Caves is that there are so many activities to do. If you’re from a large group with varied interests, we’re pretty sure each of you can find something to do—whether it’s fishing, strolling around, buggy rides, or chilling!

And we’re also pretty sure you’ll love the hot tub—it’s one of the best features of the retreat. Imagine relaxing in a hot tub after a long day of doing a lot of activities–who wouldn’t love that?

Lastly, we also like that Waterfall Caves is just near town–around 20 minutes away. It’s easy to visit other attractions nearby without wasting too much time on travelling.

The only problem we see is that some showers need replacing because they’re not emitting hot water. Hot water is a must for guests because it makes the body feel relaxed after such a long day.

Pros

  • Beautiful scenery
  • Offers plenty of activities to do
  • Hospitable staff
  • Well-equipped cabins
  • Pretty cabin interiors
  • Well-maintained facilities
  • Clean
  • Town is a few minutes away
  • Amazing hot tubs
  • Peaceful ambience

Cons

  • Some showers need replacing
  • Unresponsive to emails

Picturesque scenery and lots of activities to do

Came here with my partner and it’s honestly the best place we’ve been to hands down. From when you first check in with the top class hospitality to the absolute magical room and area that you’re staying in. The area and surroundings are amazing and it gets even better when it gets dark with all the vibey lights. There’s plenty to do with the buggy trail, animals and hot tub, not to mention the views. For the price it’s definitely worth it. We’ll definitely be coming back and we’ll be recommending it to all our friends. Just want to give a shout-out to the lad that’s we checked in with, absolute gentleman and definitely added to the experience. — Cameron D, Trip Advisor

Friendly hosts and comfortable accommodations

Well worth a visit even in the midst of autumn. Lovely grounds, hosts very friendly and hospitable with good activities on site (we tried the buggies, fishing and hot tub) with the north coast also on your doorstep. Accommodation was very comfortable with a nice outside hut/fire making for an enjoyable day and evening – just what the doctor ordered 🙂 Thanks Ross & family, hopefully see you again. — Sherpa, Trip Advisor

We recommend Willowbrook Glamping & Hideaways for a simple family or friends getaway. It has several accommodations perfect for glamping with large groups and has plenty of things for everyone to enjoy as well!

In fact, some past visitors told us just how family-friendly it was—lots of things to bond over for families. There are many activities for kids to enjoy like art classes, campfire activities, walks along nature, frog and insect hunting, and even animal-feeding!

We think kids and adults alike will find this interesting—Willowbrook has this thing called Alpaca Walks. A farmer will bring alpacas to Willowbrook and the guests can feed and pet them.

Another thing we appreciate is how the place is well set-up for everyone’s convenience. For example—the hot-tub actually has a roof so even if it’s the rainy season, the guests can still enjoy a warm long soak.

The accommodations are beautiful as well with complete toiletries and facilities for its guests. And even if you need something else, it’s easy to make a request to the owners because they’re very eager to help.

Lastly, we just appreciate the overall peaceful vibe of the place. Glamping is supposed to be relaxing and having fun while surrounded by nature, and Willowbrook just makes that goal easy to achieve.

Just a warning though—the place is very strict with time. Willowbrook has a curfew and you need to be inside your cabins by a certain time and not make any noise.

Pros

  • Peaceful vibe
  • Perfect for large groups
  • Beautiful accommodations
  • Hot-tub with a roof
  • Family-friendly
  • Well set-up campsite
  • Offers Alpaca walks
  • Accommodating owners
  • Modern facilities

Cons

  • Bathrooms need more cleaning
  • Very strict with time

Beautiful and peaceful getaway

The most beautiful and peaceful getaway for me and my fiancé, Wes and Tuesday were lovely and the yurt was stunning, the roof covered hot tub was amazing even on the rainy September evenings. Could not recommend this place more and absolutely will be back again! — Mary M, Trip Advisor

Lovely campsite with good facilities

Just stayed for the one night, but a lovely campsite, well laid out, great facilities, clean showers.. nice gardens for a stroll.. plenty of nice touches from the owners, from the artwork around the site to all the little nooks and crannies around the entire site.. delightful campsite to stay in.. Will be back again sometime.  Didn’t get the opportunity to try the pizzas 🙁 but maybe next time. Friendly welcome from Cathal when we arrived… — Ciaran O’Connel, Google Reviews

Rock Farm Slane is a rustic-themed glamping destination, and if you appreciate such a countryside charm like we do, this is a good place to try glamping. It’s spacious and has a peaceful ambience, which makes the stay really relaxing.

We also kind of agree with the former guests when they said that Rock Farm had everything they needed in camping. It has all the conveniences of modern camping, and it makes the experience more hassle-free for the guests!

Speaking of quality of service, we also want to give credit to the staff—very polite and helpful. Any assistance you require—they try their best to help you, no questions asked!

In terms of facilities—we suggest taking advantage of the pizza oven and barbecue facilities. And the good thing about it is that the farm actually provides pizza packs and barbecue packs so you don’t need to worry about buying your own.

And of course there’s the hot tub—one of the best amenities in Rock Farm! It’s clean and really warm, perfect for a relaxing soak.

What makes Mayo Glamping stand out to us is its overall uniqueness. It’s the type of place that a guest can easily remember not only because of the glamping experience it offers but also because of its overall look.
