Finding good gluten-free food while traveling can feel like a full-time job—especially when your friends can eat literally anything. 

On my recent trip to Cork, I discovered 11 spots that serve great gluten-free food. Even my friends who love bread were impressed! If you’re looking for delicious gluten-free Cork gems, these places won’t disappoint.

For those looking for a great gluten-free meal in Cork, Market Lane is a place you should try! It’s a lovely restaurant right on Oliver Plunkett Street in the city center, and it’s known for modern, delicious Irish food. 

What makes this special is how easy they make it for people with food allergies! Most dishes can be changed to suit your needs–just let the staff know! They’re kind and helpful, and they’ll make sure you feel comfortable and looked after.

The food here is fresh and flavorful. They use local ingredients! Popular dishes include the Roasted Bacon Collar, vegan curry, and the seafood salad. For drinks, their cocktails look good and taste good! We recommend trying the Bohemian Rhapsody!

My Goodness is a small vegan and gluten-free deli inside the English Market! Everything they make is both vegan and gluten-free, which is great news if you have food restrictions—or if you just want something fresh and healthy to eat. 

There are no seats, so it’s take-away only. But don’t worry—the food is perfect to grab and eat as you explore the city!

One of the most popular dishes is the vegan nachos. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, don’t leave without trying one of their desserts. The vegan Snickers bar is a top pick!

The team at My Goodness are friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile. They’ll happily talk you through the menu if you’re unsure what to pick! 

3. Golden Elephant

Located in the heart of Cork, Golden Elephant stands out for its authentic Thai dishes, prepared from scratch by Thai chefs! They use local ingredients, so the freshness and flavors shine through in every bite. 

For those who need gluten-free food, this place is a solid pick. The menu has plenty of tasty choices that don’t feel like you’re missing out. We recommend the Thai Rolls and Sizzling Thai Chicken! Tofu dishes are also available for vegetarians or anyone with special food needs. 

The place feels warm and welcoming. The staff are helpful and will explain the spice levels and help you pick the right dish. And while Pad Thai isn’t available from Friday to Sunday, there are lots of other great options to try!

For gluten-free traits in Cork, Denise’s Delicious gluten-free Bakery is a place you’ll want to try! Located in LIttle Island, this bakery has been around for years and is known all over Ireland for making delicious gluten-free and allergy-friendly baked goods! 

People love the gluten-free hampers here–they’re cute little gift boxes with soft cakes, fresh loaves, and brownies–all wrapped nicely and ready to enjoy! For something to nibble on yourself, the chocolate fudge cake and fruit scones are a must! 

The staff are kind and helpful, and they deliver all across Ireland. If you need to order something special or ask about ingredients, they’re happy to help.

This place is also perfect for families. Kids love the food, and the staff are great with little ones. The lasagna and chicken pasta are favorites and for something sweet, don’t miss the Mars Bar Cheesecake!

The SpitJack is a rotisserie-style restaurant that offers great gluten-free food in Cork and is one of the best spots in the city for a delicious coeliac-friendly meal! 

This place focuses on fresh Irish ingredients and warm service. We recommend the porchetta–soft and flavorful–and the smoked salmon with avocado and lemon sauce. For beer fans, check out White Deer beer (it’s gluten-free too). 

What makes this place even better is the friendly and helpful staff. They know how to take care of guests with food allergies, and they go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. Portions are big, so you’re not likely to leave hungry! 

8. The Castle Cafe

The menu has many gluten-free options that are clearly marked and carefully prepared, so people who need coeliac-friendly meals will find plenty to enjoy! The staff here are kind and helpful, and they understand food allergies well.

One of the most popular dishes is the eggs benedict on sourdough toast. The fish and chips are also a must-try! For dessert, many make sure to try the brownie with salted caramel.

9. Son of a Bun

Gluten-free options are easy to find here. There are starters, mains, slides, and even desserts that are safe for coeliacs. Staff are helpful, and the kitchen can adjust most meals to suit your needs. 

Even if something isn’t listed as gluten-free, the team is happy to help you find something that works! 

We recommend the chicken burger and sweet potato fries! The vanilla milkshake is also a local favorite, and the drink menu includes plenty of beer and wine options that go well with burgers!
