Elephant & Castle is a popular restaurant in Temple Bar, right in the middle of Dublin. The place first opened in New York City in 1973. Now, people in Dublin can enjoy the same great food without leaving the city! 

Everyone loves the chicken wings at this gem. They’re crispy, spicy, and they come in a big basket with blue cheese on the side. Each order includes around 18 wings, which sounds like a lot, but it’s actually just enough for one very hungry person. 

The menu has more good choices too! We recommend the Elephant Burger, and the cauliflower wings are a nice option for vegetarians. There are also kid’s meals that come with free ice cream! 

The restaurant has a warm and busy feel. The space can get crowded, especially during weekends or holidays. Service is quick, and the staff are helpful! For those who’d rather eat at home, takeaway and delivery are also available!

The atmosphere is relaxed–perfect for a casual meal with friends. Just take note that it can get busy, especially with younger crowds, and the small space means it can be a bit noisy.

The chicken wings here are worth writing home about! We couldn’t get enough of the classic Irish Buffalo wings and Korean BBQ wings–the sauce coating the wings is made with Irish butter, so there’s a unique taste that other chicken wings can’t replicate. 

For those feeling extra hungry, the menu offers more than just wings! There are also traditional Irish dishes like Irish stew. They also have a great selection of beers and whiskeys to complete the meal. 

The pub is also a great place to enjoy traditional Irish music. Every day, local musicians perform, and we really enjoyed listening to live music here. And here’s a cool trivia: this pub is also rich in history, thanks to its historic location in one of Dublin’s oldest streets!
